Abusive Mage Heal

I know before gavel the mage was the useless class, but now he is totally op cause of his op heal. I have done a lot of duel wiht my friend who play mage lvl 76, i have no opportunity to win aginst him wiht my warrior lvl 82
if i don't one shot him, he just have to heal him self to restore full life wiht one spell, add the mage's natural mobility and control and you have the most cheat class in the game. 70% of his life for 2 mana points... i'm the first who see that op ? maybe i'm just really bad in pvp but say me how to kill a mage if it possible or nerf it

Mage class is meant to be an assist class, and heal is it's most important spell. Think of it this way: mage spams heal and loses mana to the point they can't run anymore, giving you an attack chance.

 

Basically what @Qira said. Don't just charge in spamming spells, make sure the mage uses all of his spells first. He'll be out of mana so it'll be harder for him to heal and unless he has some good defensive gear you'll be able to do a lot of damage.

 

my friend can survive me whitout any offensive spell just by spaming the heal, and his mana don't go down on the during he just put all his skill points in mana, no form of spell spamming make his mana going down

 

Probably because of a good intel build. A really good build on mage can make them unstoppable. Just use the strategy me and Tantibus suggested. It may take a long time, but it works. I've had it used against me countless times.

 

impossible, he have to much mana regen, and if he gonna run out of mana, he just freeze me and tp away, 3sec later he is mana full

 

Just get a better build. A good build can destroy.

I'm no good build maker. I'd suggest making a thread here asking about a good build.

 

i think it can be a good idea if the heal of the mage was nerf on him self, the base is heal 70% of is life for 6 mana is too much, it can be 50%-40% of his life on himself, don't think why but why not.

 

I just want to point out that heal isn't as powerful as you think it is. The amount of health you get back depends on how much health you currently have. Unless they are very close to max health, it will usually take a Mage more than one heal to get back to full health (not sure about builds with 100+ Int though, I've never bothered to try). If you get a Mage's health low enough, heal becomes almost useless.

 

and this is normal to have a class base on mobility and control who can restore full life in 3 sec ? we never see that in any mmorpg or moba

 

It really can't. You just need to get a lot of damage dealt quickly to it, so its heal becomes less effective. Also mage isn't really based on mobility, it's more about dealing various effects to your enemies and using its varied spell arsenal effectively.

 

The bad grammar and the salt is too much for me.

Dude, He's French, give him a break, let's say you couldn't speak a language fluently and joined a forums who spoke that language. If someone insulted you for your grammar would you be fine?

 

the tp of the mage is the best mobility spell of the game, wiht good INT score, the tp and the heal cost 4 mana at them two. the mage is not suppose to have a good mobility but he have it

 

But you see, he takes longer to kill the enemy, unless he has mega melee damage.

 

I believe you also use up more mana the more they spam that certain spell. But being a mage myself, I can assure you that it takes more than 2 heals for me to get my full health back. But this could also be because of my build. If you friend is a level 76, that means there's not many armor options open for them yet, so you might just need to learn how to bring a mage down in duels.

 

With a max intel build, I can spam heal 5 times before running out of mana. Even at 500 out of 7000 health, I can get to full health in 3-5, and then my 9 mana regen takes over and brings be back with half my mana bar.

Mages have good mobility, but not the best. Try scaling a mountain with it, Archer's Escape is way better at that. And don't even think of teleporting to avoid damage from a big fall, it doesn't reset your momentum so that doesn't work either, but Warriors can negate fall damage completely with Charge. And Vanish, well... it's a thing, I guess.

 

Like what @Triverr said heal does become almost useless at low HP and referring to what @XavierEXE said, not all people use a high mana regen build.

The thing is though, mages don't deal as much damage as they used to, so killing bosses takes longer and from what @XavierEXE said they don't have the best mobility. In my opinion mage is balanced and if heal were to get nerfed it would be the least balanced out of all classes. This is my opinion though so not everyone would agree on what I have to say.
