World Thanos Improvements (21 Supporters!)

As those of us who have managed to reach the higher levels no doubt know, Thanos is a major city located in the Canyon of the Lost, and tends to be your first stop past Cinfras. It's also the only habitable area until you reach either Eltom, or Thesead, the latter of which is blocked by a rather hostile gatekeeper who is under a spell.

These factors, combined with the fact that Thanos contains numerous quests, as well as a bank, numerous merchants, a vault, and a grinding area, make it a major town, one that has great utility. The question is:

Why on earth does Thanos lack an ID, and lack a Scroll Merchant?

Yes, I know about the whole dragon attack thing, but if such was the case, why is it that the Vault is unharmed, the Bazaar is only mildly singed, and the reconstruction seems to be going fairly well? Given how neccessary scrolls are for transportation, and IDs for identification (Need I remind you that the nearest instant-travel will get you is to Letvus Airbase, and that the nearest ID is a city away?), I propose that Thanos be given these basic amenities.

TL;DR Give Thanos a Scroll Merchant, and an ID.

Note that this location was proposed by me, the idea for an organized plaza for the added amenities was proposed by @Shitposting 101. @Shitposting 101, if you feel there's problem with this location, and you have another idea, please let me know.

 

How about an organized plaza where you spawn which contains an item identifier, scroll merchant, and item buyer so you don't have to run all over the place?

 

Sounds like a good idea, they could be placed around the pathways of the Thanos spawn area, and the potion merchant could be moved appropriately.

reconstruction isn't going anywhere, its been 6 months and they didn't do shit

you can see the empty merchant stalls in the main cave, they are in pieces and on fire. my guess is that the id and the scroll merchant have died.
also Thanos is so close to Cinfras it wouldn't make any sense giving it a scroll, it would be like giving Ternvas a scroll.
as to the identifier, most people wont go in the canyons unless needed to (they are a hell of a maze to get through) so they either stay to grind at the Cinfras side and go to identify at Cinfras or they are at molten heights and go to rodroc

Thanos isn't exactly close to Cinfras, it's close to the Letvus Airbase. In order to get from Thanos to Cinfras, you need to swim/teleport/charge/escape through/ride around Lake Gylia, which is more like a mini-sea. From there, you have to go all around the Airbase, and the Guild Hall, to get to Cinfras.

Thanos isn't considered a major town because Cinfras and Thesead are so close by. It's not a long trip to either of those from Thanos and making it a major town is excessive, the Canyon already has two major cities (Thesead and Eltom), it does not need a third.

Canyon of the Lost covers the level 80 to 90 range that both Molten Heights and Cinfras County lack.

Eh, not really that close, to be honest. Thesead is on a whole different pathway, it's deep within the canyon, and it requires a quest to get to. As for Cinfras, it's on the other side of the entrance to the CotL, and it's across the Small Sea of Gylia. Eltom is also further in the canyon. Furthermore, if Thanos is minor, then why does it have a dwarven king in it?

Cinfras is still pretty close, I can get there by horse in like two minutes. As for why Thanos has a king, why not? Just because the town has a king doesn't mean it should have an identifier.

Well, if we look at some of the other areas of the world... Troms has a king, one of the most important cities in Wynn. Ragni has a king, starter city. Etc...

 

Ragni is supposedly one of the "Big" "Powerful" strongholds.
