In the options menu (compass) there should be a rotten flesh titled 'Drops Settings' that when clicked would bring you to a screen with a bone meal named "Junk Items", an emerald named "Emeralds" and a chestplate named "Items".

In the Junk items menu there would be every single type of junk drop (Bone Meal, Rotten Flesh, Orc Eyes, Unmeltable Ice, etc) over a few different pages. Clicking on one would disable you from picking it up the selected item from dropping when you kill it, and clicking on one again would re-enable it.

Clicking on Emeralds would simply disable you from picking up emeralds dropped from mobs.

Clicking on Items would allow you to disable picking up Normal, Unique, or Set items, similar to the menu layout of Junk Items.

This would make grinding anywhere (especially Frozen Heights) so much better. I'll add pictures as soon as possible.

The problem with this is that first of all, I'm not sure of anyone who'd disable picking up emeralds though there could be someone. Anyway, you'll never know when you'll need a junk item or any item for that matter in Wynncaft, and even if you did have this plugin, you could simply throw out the items, it isn't too terribly hard.

I really like this idea, and hope that it gets implemented. I know that it is relatively easy to throw away junk items, but it annoys me when my inventory is riddled with useless things. When I want to actually pick up something, I have no space, and I have to stop and clear out my inventory.

This isn't a necessary thing, but it sure would make grinding less frustrating.

That's my reasoning, especiaoly when you're on frozen heights and any time you try to trash something it either fills up again instantly or you die while throwing stuff away.

Here's another idea to add on to this.

I assume that all the junk items sitting around in the Province of Wynn and Gavel combine to create a lot of unnecessary "weight" (didn't know how to phrase that better) on the servers. To solve this, just change the toggle. Instead of toggling so that you don't pick the item up, toggle so that all mobs you kill will not drop junk items.

Keep in mind, I don't know much about coding, so I'm not sure if this is possible, but I think this would solve pretty much everything.

NOTE: Just to be clear, emeralds are not included in the junk items, and would still drop, as well as weapons and armor.

Yeah, this is nice, and possible with coding, but still, every class has a spell that allows them to quickly get away from mobs, which then allows you to throw away you junk. It isn't too hard to do, just a tap of the E key (Or whatever you assigned it to), then a couple clicks, and then you can race back to your grinding spot. Plus, if you throw your stuff out near your grinding spot, mobs should have piled up there, allowing for a nice bunch of items and XP from the group kill.

Throw them out somewhere you wont go then, lol. They aren't adding this because Wynncraft isn't about farming items, it's about exploring and training and doing quests. If they made it easier to farm, not as many people would do quests and it would lessen a lot of interaction between players.

Wynncraft is more than just grinding and farming. Instead of having an option to turn off looting junk items, there should be another bonus or certain stat that would make them drop less often. How about that?

Why should it be an ID? That makes it a pain, or if it is on a good item, it's harder to get junk items when you need them (ex quests)

whats the point of having junk items if people are just going to toggle them off? and wouldnt this cause lag? because people arent picking up their junk and trashing it (lava/bank bins: not the floor, theres plenty of lava at freezing heights)

Because they aren't going to make everything perfect. If you want to stop picking up a certain type of item, you'll have to suffer a little somewhere else, like how a statue grants a lot of health, but lowers walkspeed by lot.
