World "talent" Tree

    So, while I was thinking about the release of the expansion for WoW: Legion, I thought about the old fashioned Talent Tree from Cataclysm or WotLK (Wrath of the Lich King), and then I thought, why not suggest this for Wynncraft! So here's my suggestion.

    (This is the old WoW Talent Tree, I'm using it for an example.)[​IMG]

    So, I thought it would be a cool idea, to instead of having skills that unlock or upgrade at specific lvls, why not get something called "skill points" at every lvl that you can use towards an ability or an upgrade for different abilities, some abilities will require more then 1 skill point, to unlock, and people will start with 1 skill point at lvl 1, which they can use on any of the first skills, (the first ability in each tree, in the old WoW format, there were 3 different "first abilities" in each talent tree.)

    So, there are 3 different trees, when you first get a skill point at lvl 1, you can choose 1 ability as I said in the here ^^^, and the first ability you choose, picks you primary talent tree, a primary talent tree is the only tree you can unlock skills or upgrades on, until you get the last skill or upgrade on that tree, then you can start unlocking skills or upgrades on the other trees.

    And it shows "reset on the skill tree" these will not be used for my idea, I think with this idea we can have like, a type of scroll that resets your abilities.

    And the upgrades don't just have to be skill upgrades, they can be for example: +5% Movement Speed, or something like that.

    Now, more about the skill trees themselves, each skill tree has a "icon" beside the name, the shield is for Tanks, the sword is for DPS "Damage Per Second/Damage Dealers) and some "classes" have a + icon, which is for Healers. These different types, are different play styles, the Tank path is for people that like to "aggro" mobs, the DPS is obviously for those who like to deal lots of DPS, and the Healer path, is for those that like to keep themselves and their teammates alive.

    (Don't worry about the "glyph icon" it's not being used for my idea).
    (And by "skill" I mean attacks, not skills like in the compass).

    So this about it! I hope you like my suggestion and if I missed anything, want to add to my suggestion, or need to change something, I will add it!

    (And yes, I realize this would take years to make, but remember that it's just a suggestion, :P)

    Yeah okay idea but it would take years to make and it would replace the already pretty simple and fine skill points

    Oh that post I believe, that's to change the "skills: Strength, Defence etc" mine is for attacks and abilities, not skills

    In the post I explain that by skill I mean abilities, not skills as in Defence, Strength and etc.

    My idea with Skill Point Perks is to have special buffs that unlock when you get X amount of skill points in each skill catergory (Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Defence, Agilty). These would be just +X% Element Damage, or +X% Movement Speed.

    While this idea is very similar to mine (Having buffs unlock from certain skills), I can see it's more focused around augmenting spells and attacks (special abilities from skills), rather than augmenting the players base stats (increasing element damage/defence, or increasing stats linked to it).

    I'm interested, although this seems incredibly costly to implement. How would this interact/clash with the existing Skill Point system? Would this supplant it all together?

    It seems ok, but I really like the current skill points system, plus this would be hard to implement.

    I'm thinking, that you could keep the existing skills there are, but get rid of that old system and use this one, so that there are no clashes. (If this idea does get implemented but I dought it will...)
