Dungeons Dungeon Timing (48+ Supporters!)

So I think it would be cool if there was a feature that would time how long it took you to beat one of the 5 major dungeons (the original ones.)

The message it would display would be:
[Dungeon] You completed [dungeon name] in [amount of time]!
Example:
[Dungeon] You completed Spider Dungeon in 4:26!
When you set a personal record, this message will appear:
[Dungeon] Congratulations! You completed [dungeon name] in [amount of time], setting a personal best!
When setting a world record, this message will display:
[Dungeon] Amazing! You beat [dungeon] faster than anyone else before with an incredible [amount of time]! Nice Job!

Side notes:​

-Personal records must be under the following times :

• skeleton : 5 minutes
• Spider : 5 minutes
• Animal : 8 minutes
• Zombie : 7 minutes
• Silverish : 7 minutes

- The timer starts upon teleporting into the dungeon
-When the timer starts the dungeon will give this message:
[Dungeon] The timer has started, get going!
-If you log off while the timer is going, the timer stops until you log in again. This could lead to glitches with /class.
-When you set a personal record, emeralds dropped will be doubled (NO double xp). When you set a world record, you will get 4 times the emeralds and xp.
-When the world record is set, that server will get a notification saying:
[Dungeon] [Player name] Has beaten [dungeon] in [time] setting a world record!

I think the timer should start once you are teleported to the dungeon, not when you hand in the key.

 

I was considering that. I don't know why I didn't put it in though.

If the mob level were to change would XP and emerald rewards have to change too?
That would be kind of hard to code

 

Nice ideia, but the double xp and emeralds is really bad, people can just afk in the dungeon, and wait 30 mins to finish it to win double xp, then wait 29 mins and still earn double xp, so yeah.

 

What if there is a group of a level 11 and a level 93 in the skeleton dungeon?

 

The idea of double XP for setting personal record feels EXTREMELY op and easily abused. You get in the dungeon, do afk at the first area where no mobs spawn ( Skeleton andZombie especially ) Wait 20 mins, finish it, and that's a dxp earned. Then you do it again this time only afking 15 mins ( to ensure if you run into problems you'll still break your own record ) and that's another dxp earned. Repeat with 10 min afk, and 5. And if you throw a dxp as well, that's txp which isn't supposed to be a thing unless dxp weekend... Good idea but the dxp reward needs a rework

 

I have thought on this topic myself. Fixing it now :)


aaand... fixed! Personal records have to start under 2:00.

 

Two minutes is nearly impossible for certain dungeons ( mainly silverfish ) make it
skeleton : 5 minutes
Spider : 6 minutes
Animal : 10 minutes
Zombie : 8 minutes
Silverish : 10 minutes
