A Small Idea To Bring Back Wizard Fortress... With A Twist (35+ Supporters)

Lately, I have noticed a spiking increase in threads trying to add the Elytra and bring back Wizard Fortress. They somehow got into my sleep, giving me this idea on how to rejuvenate it..... in style! This will be a 1.9 addition only, and could possibly be feasible only when Wynn becomes fully 1.9 (AKA 20 years at this rate), and incorporates using the Elytra (Obviously not 100%, that would be crazy). Now, allow me to lay out my full plan with diagrams!

Wand Mechanics:
These will relatively stay the same, with the Basic Wand, Rocket Wand, Whirlwind Wand, Fire Wand, and (I can't remember any other wands/power-ups except for armor, wand resupply, and speed boost)

The Elytra:
The gist of this plan is to find the Elytra item in an item container (Gold with stone slabs around and the item respawning for the new players/those who don't remember). When picking up this item, it will in reality be "30" of them, constantly counting down per second. This means that you have 30 seconds to use the Elytra over the map. With the new map design I sketched (Obviously if this is implemented, the staff can rework my crappy drawing with actual architecture), this will become a major part of the strategy with there being 8+ routes to get from one side to another. Use your time wisely, or fall into the oblivion!

In the original, there were 2 main bridges and 2 underground routes. Now, with the power of crappy Google Drawing, here is the new map (With legend):

Legend:

• Red/Blue: Team fortress
• Green: Underground route
• Purple: "Launch" pads for Elytra
• Yellow: Floating platforms to land on
• White: Oblivion/Death area

With this, it could add a more strategic value, rather than everyone rush from the same area with Rocket Wands and Whirlwind to keep them at bay, then spawn camp, with this new idea and map, Wizard Fortress will be better than ever!

Too Long;Didn't Read:
Keep the same wands, add Elytra to add a more flavorful variety in the strategy department, and a new map (Above) to keep it up with the Elytra, thus making a new game out of an already awesome minigame!

Anything Donald tromp proposes is A-ok. Jokes aside, this would actually be pretty fun! Would you be able to attack while in elytra mode midair?

 

Perhaps you could charge up a small jump with the Elytra, like with horses?
Shift then press jump key to charge, then release both to leap into the air a short distance. Then you can control the flight

The elevated launch pads serves to give a lot more elevation than charging a leap

 

An actually good suggestion involving elytra? Yes!

 

In theory, you should be able to attack while flying. As long as they don't modify Elytra specifically (Or have it conflict with another mechanic), aerial assaults are a possibility.

 

This is just rude to people who are colorblind.

 

It was intended to be a joke for those who are partially/completely colorblind people, as the color code would be next to useless (Considering each of the 3 basic colors, red, green, and blue, are some of the main points). Sorry for those offended.

What was WF? It was dead when I first came on.

 

It was a Mini-Game hosted on the Wynncraft server as a whole different game. It's been a while, but IIRC it was something like Quakecraft and CTF combined, but with different wands that did different things.
