World Assassin Rebalance (44 Supporters)

I honestly think assassin is fine.

Smoke bomb is bad against players with 100% walk speed, or mobs like CoW (who run super fast). So there is a chance you can only get a few hits on an opponent, rather than all 10.

Multihit is faster, can be controlled using force, and uses much more mana. Even so, if multihit did more damage to an enemy (and smoke did less), it basically renders smoke bomb useless.

Either way, I don't like smoke bomb or multihit. My favorite spell is spin attack. IMO it's the best spell for bosses since it completely blinds them, deals good damage, and has reasonable range. Spam this spell, and the opponent can't do a thing, since blindness stops them from attacking you.

 

1. Fighting players isn't part of the main game, and you can spin attack or vanish to keep an enemy in smoke bomb, or just stand on a ledge, no matter how fast the mob is.
2. Using spin attack twice in a row on the same enemy steals the slowness from the enemy and gives it to you, so you can't move for half a second to one second.

However, I do appreciate the feedback. I always like a good debate where both sides have equal arguments.

I really wanna point out that assassin does need a rebalance, multi-hit being good is how assassin could actually be able to assassinate, right now it uses too much mana and does too little damage and it needs to be fixed, it is not a coincidence that so many people are complaining about assassin and not warrior or archer. Assassin is not just good right now. People might say only people who can't play it right think it is bad, that is false, because most of the time they have never played that class, and as I said, no one is complaining about warrior or archer, assassin sucks.

 

I main assassin and am saying it does not need adjustment.

 

You also have a glitch that allows you to regenerate mana while in vanish, last we heard.

 

You might not say it needs an adjustment, but hundreds of others do. Assassin is my main aswell and I think it is not very good. I understand we have very different opinions though.

 

Except, this thread does not concern Vanish. It concerns the power of Multihits and Smoke Bomb. Vanish is entirely out of the equation here.

 

Well, fair enough. But consider the scenario when people will need to use a spell though. What if someone comes out of vanish and needs to use an attacking spell? You will have the mana for multihit because of the glitch, and will use it to get enemies away from you. Everyone else won't have enough mana left since we cannot regen mana in vanish, and so will use our cost-effective options instead. Smoke Bomb has more power in that situation, or spin attack could be used to escape.

 

Vanish is meant to be an escape spell. Escape spells aren't meant to be for offense, but as a way to retreat. Honestly, mage teleport shouldn't do damage, as it is meant to escape as well.

Warrior, however, is the up-close attacking class, so that has a reason to have lots of attacking spells, even for it's escape.

I want to agree, but I'm kind of afraid that if they smoke bomb for it to not be good, then buff multi-hit to were it's not good damage and stuck with no damage hitting class I'll be sad. :(
