World Wynncraft Capes!

Wynncraft Capes. I got this idea when I saw the WynnCon post about Wynncraft Optifine Capes! But....

What if... capes were added into Wynncraft?!?!

I have a couple ways these could work, but some might not work! We need to figure out which would be the best.

The capes will be placed in a little accessory slot next to the amulet. You could get some capes from quests, and some from loot chests and mobs. They would also have tiers like unique, legendary, and more. They don't give stats. And, for the WynnCon, there will be a custom cape for it!




HOW THEY WORK
Capes will be made with blocks that haven't been used for weapons. Now, with the 3d modeler, you can make the block look like a cape shape. This will make it so, if you have a block on your head, it looks like you are wearing a cape on your back! Now, putting this block on an invisible armor stand, will make a cape floating. Then, have an armor stand be teleported to the position where it is behind your back at all times.

this is just a w, there is probably more that you could add to the cape to make it more wynncraft-like

Nice idea. Imagine if NPCs noticed your capes lol. I'd probably be beat to death.

 

This would be cool, but constantly teleporting 60 armor stands would probably create quite a bit of lag...

 

Armor stands are entities, and, as Salted said in the Gavel changelog, entities no longer cause server lag.

As far as I know, armor stands are used to create the damage dealing popup effect, and, hey, if arrow storm with a relic bow hitting all 60 arrows doesn't cause lag, then I doubt this will.

 

While it's likely that it won't increase lag by much, yes, entities still do increase lag, but not by nearly as much. So yes, you're mainly right, but were sort of wrong.

Don't understand the arrow storm part, but whatever.

 

I love this idea, but. no offense, we need a detailed cape, not justed a, "1 colored" cape. do you see how the minecon capes are well shaded? I think we dhould go for detail :) No hard feelings, really, :)

 

Arrow storm shoots about 60 arrows at tier 3, and the relic bow deals all 6 kinds of damage at once, so it has a lot of armor stands.

 

Don't worry bout the cape. I made it in legit 420 seconds.

 

Preach it. Preeeeaaach it.

Whoops. Thought we were using banners here. I can remake.

 

Not sure if somebody already said it, but an easier way then teleporting armor stands is to put the actual remodeled block on the Player head. This wouldnt be game breaking when armour Skins are back again since your Skin would be changed but the block would stay. Basicly the armour peace woulnt become a slime block but the remodeled block.

It's good idea, it could be a bit laggy.
