Please Make An Amendment To Game Rule #9

Hello Wynn,
I wrote this today to try to convince you to add a small amendment to the "no vanilla items" rule.
I started thinking about this a bit after 9/7 when the lack of a rules thread created chaos in the question section. the issue came to my attention again with this thread where @Tantibus said:
"Please dispose of that diamond immediately. Glitched/vanilla items are not permitted."
which to I replied:
"I remember that a correction to the rule was made because people started referring the old players to it telling them they should dispose of their old emeralds or that they will report them for their vanilla water bottle. it went something along the lines of "you aren't allowed to own/sell vanilla items that involve the use of bugs and glitches in their acquirement".
a lot of players have vanilla items and didn't do anything illegal to get them. the old currency was vanilla, health potions turn into vanilla glass bottles after you drink them, you can fill said bottles up to create vanilla water bottles (and the players were actually required to do that for a quest until the gavel update), you could drink the milk you buy from merchants and get a vanilla bucket and there were a lot of gm fuck ups when it comes to merchants selling vanilla items. the players did nothing wrong to get those items and some have strong memories associated with those items.
I understand that you don't want people to create more of those items or limit (cant outlaw it completely, black markets are always a thing) the market for them and outlaw the trading of vanilla items. but I don't see the harm in keeping a souvenir from the good old times."
I ask the Wynncraft Administration to add a small amendment to rule number nine:

So I ask of you, please change the rule so it wont be directed at vanilla items but directed to glitched items as it was used to be back before gavel.

9. No Glitched Items
(this includes abusing bugs/glitches to obtain and/or buy or sell glitched or vanilla items, just throw glitched items away. Glitched items are items that involve the use of bugs/glitches

Scamming is surprisingly easy with vanilla items. It's far easier if they're banned entirely.

I'm no computer guy so I don't know if its possible, cant you make a program that will update all vanilla items (no nbt tag) to an untradeable version?
if that's not possible I will happily help you guys with making a list of all the vanilla items that are acquired in game wherever they involve a glitch or not.

I agree with the fact they shouldn't be traded and that trading them should be a bannable offense, but it seems harsh to just say get rid of all vanilla items.

 

Jumla's got a million things to do right now. I'm no computer guy either so I have no idea if it'd be possible or how long it'd take anyways.

EDIT: To add to this, if a new vanilla were to ever be circulated into the system, one that isn't on the list, the same problem would happen all over again if it went unnoticed.

We already tried banning trade. If I remember correctly, people did it anyways. Which is why vanilla items are now completely banned.

I agree, I was so disappointed when I found out that I had to throw away my Test Chestplate #61, it was the coolest collectable I had ever obtained

 

I just had a conversation with Yuno about this topic.
He linked this thread so I'm here - hi ;)
In this conversation, I mentioned including a merchant (like the emerald merchant that was on Selchar).
This would make it possible to get rid of the old item and giving the player something in return.
There could be a list of items that are worth something like old armor and weapons, as well as water bottles that are hardly worth anything.

The items are useless, why should we give them a reward for having something absolutely useless and keeping it?

The OP referenced the thread. It may be a necro, but it should get an answer, as it's a valuable question.
