World Rank Idea: Tutor//helper

This idea came to me in Detles. A couple of low level players needed help. Happily, I helped them finish their quest and teach them a couple of tricks (Like shift right click and stuff)

Having a lot of fun, they asked if I would be on tomorrow to teach them more stuff and help them. I agreed!

Doing this, I thought of a new rank that would be very helpful!

Tutor (Or helper)

This rank will be made so people can know that you are there to help, guide, and assist!

Like /report, /tutor [help] will automatically send a msg to all online tutors. This will make sure all players know what to do, and how to do it! This will also create a strong relationship between all players.

It just seems... So useless... Mods keep shit clean... Admins... Make the shit... Tutors... Sit in Ragni all day and tell drunk 5 year olds how to walk?

 

Look, I get how you've imagined this feature but it seems extremely incomplete. You'd have to describe the feature of this class. I mean, all I know is that this class is labelled as a helper and can receive messages from players in need... I mean, is that all? Seems pretty useless.

 

It's not a class, it's a rank.
Hand picked by mods/admins I assume, or by application.

This would be good to stop noobs messaging random people, just the other day I got 3 messages asking for help at the exact same time.

We've actually had this idea before - and the idea, when, uh, told to other people correctly, seems like a pretty good idea. For example, /tutor isn't a very good idea - it might get spammy with useless messages, and probably three-seconds later there would be messages saying "nvm figered it out lol".

But, as I said, the Helper idea itself isn't a bad idea. In fact, back in the old days, (CraftedMovie), we did have a Helper rank, which was later renamed Trusted. Trusteds were basically the rank before Mod, and they had simple commands - not things like /ban or /fly, but /warn, /mute, and smaller commands like that. They were pretty cool - and you could ask them questions.

And yes, Wynncraft did have an idea of bringing back Trusteds - however, I'm pretty certain that those Trusteds became Trial Mods, because I'm guessing they thought it'd be simpler and better that way. (I think I was one of those Trial Mods, which is why I can't say for certain.) The difference is, however, that the Trusteds were on a Survival/Creative server, with, at it's peak, having 45 people on at at time. Wynncraft is an MMORPG, which I've seen have 3,000 people on at a time. There are a lot more people to ask for help, and you could just ask a Moderator. Most of us don't mind. Or you could just ask whoever's near you - or you could ask the Forums, as there are many willing people waiting to answer your questions. We don't really need Trusteds.

Either way, I do know that we have thought about something like a Helper Rank before. And I'm pretty sure they were replaced by those Trial Mods... so, although this is a good idea when suggested correctly, (as I mentioned, this suggestion does need a little more to it), I guess it's kinda just better to have only Moderators instead on a server like Wynncraft.

 

The Your Services section would also become useless after this .-.
And I was just thinking to sell myself to get money.
After thinking about it, this doesn't seem like the best idea.

 

This would be nice, i always like helping people :)
would also help get rid of the one-sentence question threads.
