World Mythic Item Drop Notifications - 36+ Supporters

When a Mythic tier item drops from a mob it should notify all nearby players with its coordinates and who it has dropped for.

This would be a similar notification to when an item bomb is dropped, it gives the coordinates and the players name:
e.g. A Mythic has dropped for ClumsyRecon at 123, 5500, 43

This would be a useful feature because when you are grinding and a mythic drops you would be informed so you can go and pick it up, rather than someone else picking it up or it despawning. Plus it will save you time from checking all of the junk drops on the ground.

And then you will get the spam:

"can I buy it for 3 emerald blocks plz I will give u another 4 emeralds pls"

 

Or you are near respectful people who congratulate you on your luck.

and then spam you asking for its stats and price.

 

I think the Message sent to you should be a personal Message (no one is gonna hear it except you) so everybody don't just pile up around it and u maybe end up losing it.

 

You get around 30 seconds during which no one but you can pick it up after it drops so you should be fine as long as you aren't blind

 

If you stand over the item, ur legs are sometimes able to block it completly for the 30 seconds
Which may confuse the player who got the drop.

You get a notification OF THE COORDINATES, so it's kind of impossible to miss where it is

 

*Sees mythic drop Message in chat*
*You Suck at coords*
*A guy nearby blocks it*
*You lost a mythic*
Could happen.

You did find my Bob's Mythic on the ground xD

You can't block items however you can stand on it and hide it, but since the player knows the coordinates they can go pick it up.

I believe this is a good concept, but I think it should have a rarity status hovering above the item for anything thats uncommon+

 

I like this idea but I personally really like the anticipation of picking up a new weapon without knowing what it is.
Then again I'm obsessed with weapons in this game, I love them.
Maybe something like a beacon with the color of it's tier.
i.e. Yellow Beacon=Unique, Magenta Beacon=Rare, Light Blue=Legendary, Lime Green=Set, Blue=Mythic

 

If you mean an icon above each item on the ground; that would cause a lot of lag for players.

Imagine how hard it would be to see if the floor was covered with items. ._. We would go blind farming

 

Why not make lightning come out of the sky where the mythic drops. Pretty simple and +100% more epic

 

You should check look through the general discussion thread. A idea like this has already been posted. I can guarantee that a feature like this isn't going to be added, but what I can say might be added in the near future is some way to tell what type an item is after it is dropped by some kind of indicator. For an example, unique colored particles emitting from a unique item, light blue for legendaries ect.

 

I believe you meant yellow colored particles for unique? Pretty sure that unique on its own isn't a color :|

 

Thats true, maybe particles instead like how they have on loot chests. The reason I bring up this arguement is because some people play with chat turned completely off.

 

and some people play without particles

 

The thing is that most mythics have been dropped in freezing heights, which is underground.
So, even if the player hears lightning, they have no way of knowing which of the 100 normal items is a mythic.
Even then, some people play without sound, don't know why, but those guys couldn't even hear the lightning.

I still wanna see this happen.
