Dungeons To Slay The Maker (quest)

So! Hello everybody! Me and LunarWiz are currently in the middle of building a city suggestion for the new province: Dern! I have also thought about a quest that may interest some people willing to take on a challenge tougher than fighting Qira, Death, Bob and the CoW at the same time in the hive along with every single boss in the ToA! I know... what could top that? I'm suggesting well a quest that let's the party of lvl 150 adventurers face the Fatalis. So, the quest begins in Dern, in the room of royalty like that of three king of ragni resides in, but much grander of course. So the king will greet the players with the sentences:
"Hello there!"
"You must be the esteemed fighter of the provinces Wynn and Gavel!"
"Welcome to the province of Dern, the land of the giants."
"Have you ever heard of the folktale amongst the villagers and humans of the many provinces?"
"This tale has been around long before the kingdoms of Drumaroad were even made!"
"The tale consists of a giant dragon..."
"Before the provinces, there was a great war..."
"There was a giant beast that shredded through the lands and demolished and savaged cities as though they were mere cotton."
"This beast was unleashed thanks to a foolish elf that attempted to fight 'him'..."
"This 'him' is the great creator, the one that created the kingdoms and creatures..."
"The fool had brought nothing short of the relics of all the lands, the power of that was far greater than that of Amadel."
"Yet, it barely even scratch "him" before the elf was wiped out of existence in merely a split second..."
"The mere thought of his own creations trying to defeat him sent the creator into a great fury..."
"He blazed the land with scouring flames and smothered mountains into dust, splitting the skies with burning ferocity..."
"He then sent out titans and giants to maul and devour all the villagers, elves and humans who had helped the elf..."
"The rampaging titans and demons crawled the lands and smashed the houses of innocent lives..."
"Easily wiping the victims out and drowning them in their own blood..."
"The remaining denizens had formed together to forge a final defence against the hordes of titans and giants..."
"Making the fortress that we now converse in..."
"The giants and titans were fended off valiantly by the fighters of valor..."
"They were the mightiest of heroes to ever walk the land of Dern..."
"They had slaughtered at least 50000 titans before they themselves succumbed to death and injuries..."
"At last... the rage of the creator had simmered down...."
"The land was left in ruins and the remaining denizens had to rebuild their homes and kingdoms..."
"The villagers claimed the province of Gavel ..."
"The humans claimed the province of Wynn..."
"And we claimed the province of Dern..."
"The truths then became bedtime stories..."
"The bedtime stories became tales..."
"The tales became legend..."
The legends became myths..."
"And the myths have become truth yet again...."
"Reports have shown some serious increase in the amount of energy being created in the province..."
"Nearly as much as that of the creator's energy"
"Perhaps he is awakening again..."
"We must stop it from happening at all costs..."
"But how..."

Player then has to talk to the Queen of Dern

"Fine day in Dern isn't it?"
"I suppose you have spoken to our king?"
"Well... that old fool will never be able to come up with a solution in time before his bottom gets fried while he sits on his throne..."
"Tell you what... gather the legend pieces of the cities in Wynn and Gavel from their respective rulers..."
"That power should be able to knock the creator back to sleep."

Upon returning this to the queen

"You have returned?"
"You humans really do work fast..."
"Head over to the castle armoury and hand this royal seal to Sylver"
"He will craft you a talisman worthy of your power."

Player brings it to Sylver the craftsman

"Your armoured toes bring noise and clutter to my realm of peace..."
"What do you seek of me warm blood..."
"Ah... The Queen wants me to craft another talisman that will have the potential to defeat the creator?"
" Such arrogance and pride the Queen has... I wish I could fry her upon my furnace and rip her meat of her singed bones...."
"Yet... I cannot... for I am bound to her service..."
"Leave me with this seal..."
"I will make the weapon on one condition..."
"You bring the me the heart of a 3-headed demon..."
"He can be found behind me in the cellar..."

Player approaches cellar...

"You hear screams of pain and torture echoing from below... you fear for your own sanity and do not want to face the demon... yet you have no choice..."

Player kills the demon (wither)

Upon returning demon heart to Sylver

"I didn't expect you to make it out alive..."
"Maybe you are worthy of this talisman..."
"Begone warmblood and take this talisman far away from me..."
"I do not wish to be its presence longer than I have to..."

Player receives "Shadow Shrouded Talisman"

Player hands talisman to Queen

"You truly made Sylver craft it for you?"
"Truly you are worthy to wield such mighty weapon..."
"Bring it to Thanos where my loyal servant Yora will craft the weapon of your choice..."
"God speed fighter..."
"God speed..."

Player brings it to Yora

"What power this talisman holds!"
"How did you get this into your mortal hands?"
"..."
"Oh... the Queen of Dern has asked me to craft a weapon for you?"
"Tell you what..."
"Goto the forgery that is located in Dern..."
"I have written the co-ordiantes in your Quest book."

Player goes to area
Purchases weapon of choice from the "Legendary Blacksmith"
Goes to Queen of Dern

"By glory!"
"That truly is a mighty weapon..."
"Go to the portal above the fortress..."
"My skyship legion is waiting for you..."
"Lead my vanguard well..."

Player leads skyship army "cutscene that shows you standing in the skyship... then the sky ship falls and there is a fire..."

Player stands in the middle of the sky ship ruins... hears dialogue

Ozoth (custom horse skin (armour)) :
"You had the guts to go into my guts..."
"Now you must face the consequences and face me like the fighter you are..."
"Fight me and may the best fighter triumph!"

Player kills Ozoth
Ozoth drops: Head of Ozoth

Player hands Ozoth's head to the Queen

"MY LEGION?!"
"THEY DIED?"
"HOW?"
"oh... the fire breathing dragon Ozoth killed them..."
"Oh well... I know of a necromancer in Olux that can revive them!"
"Bring Ozoth's head to the necromancer..."
"Bring me back one [Revived Legion Scroll]"

Player goes to necromancer in Olux requires [1 Ozoth's Head] to speak to him

"HAHAHAHA!"
"You a mere mortal dare demand me to raise AN ENTIRE LEGION?"
"The mere suggestion of it sends this bag of bones into a laughing fit!"
"..."
"You... slew Ozoth?"
"Show me her head as proof!"
"Oh..."
"I will get to work immediately..."
"But... I will require a pair of [Death's Toe (boots)]"

Player gets the pair of boots

"Great! It is done..."
"I only needed the toes to wear them on my feet, they feel so comfortable."
"Be off!"

Player brings the [Revived Legion Scroll] to Dern's Queen

"My legion lies dead at the co-ordinates ( )( )( )"
"Go and use the scroll of reviving in the middle of the battle field where a pentacle has formed."

Player uses scroll in pentacle
Dialogue:
"You hear the rustling of winds and the cold hands of Death slowly ease their grip on the deceased bodies of the legion."
"The legion crawls back to life and stares at you, awaiting your commands."

Report back to the Queen of Dern

"Lead my forces into the rift of creation..."
"Beware though... it is a place where people enter but do not escape."

Player enters rift of creation (iron golem guards around it)

Teleports into a TOA/ Hive like structure.

Sees a hooded figure named " the first "

"Why hello there mortal..."
"What brings you to the realm of creation?"
"Do you seek rebirth? Power? Fame?"
"Even Bob of Wynn has come here to seek his powers..."
"These things require a heavy price however..."
"Wait-wait-wait... did I just hear you say that you want to challenge "him"?
"This is hilarious! Do you even know how powerful the elf that fought him was?"
"I'm tearing with laughter... go ahead and try!"
"Maybe he will give you mercy and wipe you out one second later than he did with the elf!"
"Hahahaha this is the most absurd request I have ever heard..."
"Climb up these steps if you want to face him, just don't wet yourself in fear!"

Player clears 10 Floors of the Rift

6 levels per floor
5 mini bosses per Boss
[ need help with those monsters ;D ]

Player reaches floor 10
Dialogue:

"You hear the skies split and the ground tremble..."
"The air around you whips with the fury of a tornado..."
"Then your blood freezes as you witness a massive black dragon whose wings blot out the skies with their magnificence..."
"Your eyes lock with its shining eyes..."
"The battle... has begun."

Fatalis rapidly sprays fire balls 360* at 5 second intervals (4k dmg)
Fatalis also summons lightning bolts that rain from the sky (6k dmg)
Fatalis has about 1500000 hp
Fatalis regen: 150000/10 seconds
Fatalis Melee attack does 7k dmg
Fatalis summons minions who are shadow giants (70000 hp) (2k dmg) (pretty annoying knockback) every 5 seconds

Upon killing the Fatalis, it will drop an eye of the Fatalis

Hand this to " the first "

"No... this is not possible!"
"How?..."
"He was the maker of the worlds... the great destroyer... he... he..."
"..."
"Leave me... and take this eye far away from me..."
"I have no use for it..."

Quest finishes

Reward: 1500000 xp
1 stack of le
Fatalis Eye



Players can goto ElKumar in Elkurn to trade the Fatalis Eye for an Intense Block Of Totally Rainbow coloured wool

This can then be traded to a secret merchant somewhere in Qira's Hive for a Fatalis weapon
(gtg posting in awhile or tmr)

 

What the... The damn janitor told me there were bagels here! He clearly lied! Where are my damn bagels? I want some bagels!

 

I like the dialogs, although it is kind of too plot-heavy,
+ it beats ToL in terms of being the longest grinding quest >.<

 

No because you have no character names, no quest rewards, no nothing, but only thing i liked it collecting an item from every town, and are you sure all of that crap can fit into one inventory?

1. So, uh... Yeah. I noticed that it's not done. Maybe finish that?
2. It's kinda improbable that Dern has a monarch. I mean, that place is death and darkness. There's probably not much of a hierarchy except multiple factions warring for dominance.
3, [1/1] The One-eyed Guy: It would look really nice if you used the quest text as it appears in-game.
4. Rymek is not technically a city because it has no TP scroll, regardless of it's size.
5. Well, what a fetch quest.
6. I mean, if there's such an epic battle, then it's nice to have some prelude. The CoW and Bob are the culmination of your journey and all your adventures in Wynn. Amadel has 4 quests for you to get to know him. Qira is mentioned a few times in other quests. It's nice to have other preludes than bam, sudden boss fight.

When you continue the quest, let me know about it. If any items or mobs are involved I could certainly help you.

 

"Fight the Fatalis"
I feel like this is Monster Hunter all over again.

@jpmrocks Well I prefer charge blade and GS... but if you say... I'm pretty sure you use akantor bow against a giadrome and lose ;)
