There's a lot of hope for demand for circles, but the thing is, demand is a risky thing to hope for. Especially since circles can be easily oligopolized by users.

So I see a lot of people saying : "But this 'Circles' system will break the EULA rules brought by Mojang on Minecraft servers"
And here I am, saying that it is first, not the case. And second, it may be 'The' solution towards Wynncraft lack of financial ressources (See those Two Threads : Part 1 Part2 )
Let me explain my point :

The EULA's rules prohibit a server from selling in-game advantages that are unfair towards players that do not have them and only obtainable via real money. (That's why Vip's double xp are no longer a thing)
The actual Wynncraft store system is totally clean towards EULA's rules, since the only things that you can obtain via money are either esthetic bonuses or bonuses that even players who haven't paid can profit of. (Double XP/Loot Bombs)

So now, what if circles are a thing in the game ? Let's say that 1 Circle = 1$ :
So what if you buy 30 Circles for 30$ ? and with those 30 Circles you buy a Vip Rank (25$) and 100 Goldcoins (5$) for example. With this case, nothing will really change, it would just end up the same way as if you directly bought the VIP rank and 100 goldcoins in the store.
But what if you decide to sell them 1le each ? You would end up buying 30le for 30$ (not that good of a deal actually). But the story doesn't end here, the player who bought them is now able to buy something from the store with them (let's say Vip and 100 gold coins again), they would end up with the Vip rank without disbursing any real money but in-game money instead.

So for now, no break of the EULA's rules since neither of you or the player you sold the Circles to get an unfair advantage.
But now, here's the part where it's getting interesting, with this system, everyone could get a Vip or Vip+ rank with only emeralds, so there's no problem with letting Vips get the Double xp bonus back right ?
Since ranks can be get in-game with in-game money, this is not an unfair thing to give ranked players a bonus.

So what if Double Xp for Vips come back ? This would looks a lot more appealing for peoples to buy them. And since Circles need to be bought by someone at some moment in order for someone else to get something from the shop with in-game money, Wynncraft wouldn't lose anything by doing so ?

This is definetely an actual really good suggestion that you made here, I really hope someone from the staff notice it.

Either you do not fully understand what i said or youre just warping my words to comfort yourself. However, I am not here to humiliate you.
Why do you think that Circles wont help the funding problem?

Well whoops I messed up somewhere, and dont quote me like that. Anyways, ill answer your question quick.

Circles wont help the funding process because it will most likely be shut down immediately after because it most likely violates EULA rules.

The other problem is that people will trade in-game items for 'circles', breaking the rules once again.

Can you explain how exactly this "Circles" system is gonna break the EULA rules ?
Because even with how much I think of it, I really can't figured out at which part it does break the rules since emeralds and loots can both of them be obtain in game without having to trade with anyone. Even better, peole aren't buying items, they are obtaining them from other players, they just bought those "circles" at which they're not even garanted to find someone to trade with them.

I believe youre talking about my 1st con? Well, since you said "Emerald sellers" exist, they're likely illegal and their prices are very imbalanced and are likely all scams. "Circles" can help with this problem a bit by creating a sorta legal way to inadvertedly buy emeralds with real life cash. This will reduce the amount of scams and will probably put the "Emerald Sellers" out of business. However, as you probably already know, players being able to buy emeralds with real life cash can be a problem and it definitely is. It is the one current known bad side effect of "Circles" implementation.
But, MMORPGs like Runescape and WoW have implemented this system with close to know bad side effects other than the occasional guy who has a ton of endgame stuff but sucks at bosses because he payed to win. In fact, the system(which is called Bonds in Runescape) has tripled the amount of players who play the game on a regular basis and saved their game from dyeath. Jagex(Company who made Runescape) realized that most people wanted membership but were unable to pay real life money . Most of these players were the good players too. With the Bond system, they allowed all these dormant players to return to their game and they made even more money from it because they charged more for Bonds than the monthly subscription. This money saved their game from death and allowed them to fund cool projects that made the good game it is today. They basically made the pay to win portion of the community pay for the rest of the community. It did take alot of explaining before the community bought the idea though because alot of people didnt understand that there was no money being generated, it is just cycling around.

Thanks for reading my wall of text :D

They could be called "Mystery Pouch" And make it random what you get, and it's an EXTREMELY LOW chance of getting a donor rank.

There is no 'legal way' of doing this. You are just doing it with an extra step. The other companies and MMOs can do it because they are not bound to the EULA of minecraft.

This will be my last post on this since this WILL NOT be a thing. Im quoting a mojang post that states the problem completely.
"You cannot charge real-world cash for in-game currency
We don’t mind in-game currencies which are earned through playing, but you are not allowed to sell them for real-world cash. Remember - if the stuff you sell affects gameplay, we're not cool with it."

Your 'circles' are just doing this indirectly since there is no absolute way of doing this without someone throwing in some emeralds the other side of the trade. There is really only one other way for the server to be supported by funding other than by donations and the shop that ISN'T going against EULA.

"You are allowed to charge players to access your server
So long as the fee is the same for all players,"

This may never happen though since even though most of wynn's player are mature, the population of wynn would probably be cut in half. This would be a really risking thing to do, but it would pay off greatly and would make the server much better if it goes through. The entire article should just be posted and stickied since alot of people dont get EULA and that post is a summary of it.

Once again, I wont reply to this anymore since its getting so repetitive. Unless, a mod can tag me and prove me wrong.

Well you have got a good point here, I can't deny it.
But can you say that those "Decagon" (because circles are way too lame) are actualy concerned by the in-game currency rule ? Because when I read this mojang post, what I understand is that a server isn't allowed to sell the currency that everyone use or one that has an gameplay impact uses for real world money.
For the case of those "Decagon" their main purpose is to get what you can already get which is cosmetic things and things that everyone profit of and not any in-game advantages.

It's the role of the players to decide what a "Decagon" is worth, some might just give them for free when some others might want emeralds or items in exchange, and again the one who give those items aren't the server but the players themself.

I think that the question here is : Would those "Decagon" become a currency ?
Because people who don't care about being Vip or having pets wouldn't really care more than what they already did.

But I guess we are not the ones to decide of that, it should be more on Mojang side to decide if it's a right thing to do or not.

If you don't want to reply, (as you stated) I can easily understand since as myself I'm also getting tired of debating over something that would probably lead to nothing.
But I would still want to hear the opinion of one of the owner of the server on the subject.

The Decagon (yea circles are lame) is basically a gift card of coins. Of course it has good intentions but once again, there are still the people who would exchange their items or LE for gold coins (decagon). I want mak just to replace "Circles" with "Gold Coins" for a minute and think of the reasons it cant go through. Gold coins are bought with REAL MONEY and arent obtainable any other way. To answer your question Evran, it probably would turn into a currency and you made 2 points I didnt think about. People who dont care about having pets wont care at all, isnt true since some with alot of LE may think "Why not just get this second currency as well". They will probably balance LE with Decagons since its like the pay-only currency in games (aka microtransactions). The second thing is that if they gave out degagons as a reward, the server would lose potential money and it would mean more people would trade a decagon for LE (especially noobs)

    13. Buying in-game items.
(Using real life money to purchase something in-game from another player, includes selling/buying store items for items in-game.)

Argue all you want. All you are doing is making it so someone can buy an in-game item from the store (which makes it a store item) and then sell it for cash (items in-game). A person would still be buying store items for items in-game.
