Now, the Nether is one of the fun aspects of Wynn. It opens up fair PVP to all level players.....or at least it used to.

Me and Karim were enjoying our 1v1, when Blissypoo joined. I didn't care and thought it was more fun, but I started to realize Karim was beating me because of her reflection. ANd Blissypoo just dodged dishing out high damage with his speed 3 and walkspeed armor.

I feel like armor, stats, and weapons shouldn't take effect.
Everyone should deal the same amount of damage depending on what class you are and how many upgrades your spell has. Everybody should also have the same amount of HP.

This ruins the fun for many players, such as a low level that joined us. I killed him in one shot every time he came towards me, which I felt bad about.

Edit: Oh ho ho, what is this I just found?
"The nether is a dangerous area. It corrupts the mind and can turn you against your your friends. It is a constant PvP area where everybody deals a fixed amount of damage and do not have any defense bonus. It’s a fair, endless PvP arena."

It opens up chances for actual pvp specs. I like it, people are going to adapt soon enough

I agree totally, but this raises some issues: people would want to play with their SP builds, but those are hard to equalize... Maybe your percentage allocation of points is what grants buffs.

Also health/skill potions need to be disabled

Also I think weapon effects should take effect, but to some balanced extent. I have no idea how to do that.

Like, I want to be a lvl 30, and when I'm bored, go to the Nether and fight some people without them oneshotting me and running around me with speed.

No, it's a case of "the higher level wins"
    EVERY GAME.
Even two extra skill points can shift the game devastatingly.

I'm not going to adapt to getting one-shotted by a mage's basic attack.

Thats not true, i easily killed people 5ish levels above me.
Well if you are getting oneshotted by a mages basic attacks, then you need to improve your defense

    Thats not...the point....OF THE NETHER!
Its supposed to be balanced, like it was around the beginning of the EULA era. You're not supposed to be a super high level or have awesome stats just to have a fair, honest fight.

@Enderman1234 If that was the case the Nether would be meant for lvl 100s with their builds secure and ready. Duels are for what you're describing. Not the Nether.
    ________________________________
These "pvp builds" will mainly be the common powerful builds, with people using unfair techniques like speed and doing massive damage to people like 10-20 levels below them. Blissypoo killed me in a few seconds with arrow storm, running around me with speed I couldn't keep track of him. If his damage was nerfed I'd be OK with that. The Nether is supposed to be something that all levels can enjoy, not just lvl 90-100s that have really good builds, stats, and skills. I'd like to see myself lose a fair, honest EULA nether fight to a level 40 again. That was fun. That was interesting. Now its just one-shot here, two-shot there, reflection here, thorns there, speed here, slowness there...I can keep going on...and on....and on... and on...
    ________________________________
That's not a pretty big gap, but when the gap is about 11 levels and the other person has one-shot capabilities when you have decent armor, it gets annoying.
    ________________________________
I had wanted to go to the Nether today, expecting some EULA Nether physics and have some fun fighting lower levels or higher levels, maybe same levels. But nope. I find people with high reflection killing me with no effort due to their reflection, and people arrow-storming me to death in about 2 seconds from behind while I'm fighting another person.

It wasnt fun, going into the nether, And then just getting one shotted by a mage or an assassin. Now if you focus, and theory craft. You could easily counter those tatics. Reflection DESTROYS Archers and mages. Thorns destroy assassins and warriors

That's what this thread is about right? having more fun?

Or, we could level segregate it. It would detect your level, and put you into that level range

"Getting one-shotted by a mage or an assassin." I clearly said in my original post that every class's basic attack and spells should be nerfed to a certain degree to avoid one-shots or two-shots.

Really, are you simply ignoring the part about levels and the fact that what YOU want is lvl 100s demolishing everything in their path. I want to be a lvl 20 or 40 and kill a lvl 100 with a bit of struggle, maybe not.

Also, i would like to mention. You are complaining MOSTLY about archers. Which as an archer, fully agree that in the nether, archers need a nerf

Level range? What? There'd be multiple level people, and if what you mean is average the levels of everybody on, what happens when theirs 5 lvl 1s on and 1 lvl 50? Oh, yea, that lvl 50 loses his spells which doesn't really make it seem as interesting, spamming meteor constantly.
