You may have come here to shoot down a class idea. So now I will disappoint you by saying, this is not a class idea.

So let's hop into it, as we all know, since Gavel there have been mobs that help you in combat. But the ones that follow you either despawn, or die. So here's an idea to build on that. You should just know, this idea will probably be terrible in most people's minds.

    The Summoner

The current issue with these mobs, is that they only help to a certain extent, and the only useful ones are the protectors of towns, and even these are too slow to do much to oncoming mobs. So introducing a new merchant: Summoner Merchant.(like seriously if you have a better name for it comment below because this one sucks) This merchant is located in most cities, and provides items that summon in mobs for you.

The merchant sells potion like items that each have a lore of their own. These items have a 3 time use(like healing potions) and are splash potions. The splash potions themselves give no effect, but spawn a mob in its place. Let's jump into the items and cities they can be bought in. Each potion has a level minimum to be used that matches the level of the city.

    Wynn Cities

The cities the merchant is in in the city of Wynn are as follows(with the things the merchant sells)

    Ragni:
    Tamed Rat-24 Emeralds
    Health: 20
    Damage: 1-3
This rat is tamed to fight with the buyer, yet be careful, as the spell that binds the rat will disappear with the magic in this container

    Detlas:
    Weak Blaze-2EBs
    Health: 50
    Damage: 10-20
Whatever black magic made this blaze so weak will fade with the blaze, you should be careful as the blaze will fade away once the magic in this container is lost.

    Almuj:
    Genie in a bottle-5 EBs
    Health: 500
    Damage: 30-60
This genie was trapped many years ago, apon being released it will attempt to kill anything in its path, but thanks to the corruption, the darkness will eat it away quickly

    Nesaak:
    Tamed Wolf-7EBs
    Health: 700
    Damage: 50-70
Tamed by the people of the ice town that is Nesaak, some idiot using black magic trapped it in this container, unfortunately, freeing it will slowly kill the poor creature

    Troms:
    Sword of the Fallen-10 EBs
    Health: 1500
    Damage: 70-100
Once the sword of a fallen warrior, the magic remains, although somehow got trapped in this bottle, it will magically fight for you until it's magic fades into nothingness

    Gavel Cities

The cities of gavel with this merchant are as follows:

    Llevigar:
    Busted Gaurd Golem-7EBs
    Health: 1000
    Damage: 80-100
Trapped in this container by evil forces unknown, this Gaurd golem was once powerful enough to fight for Llevigar, but has since become to weak.

    Gelibord:
    Trained Wearwolf-12 EBs
    Health: 2000
    Damage: 300-400
This powerful werewolf has been tricked into the container and forced into fighting by dark magic, you should be careful while using this bottle, you never know what might happen

    Cinfras:
    Trained Assassin-14 EBs
    Health: 2500
    Damage: 400-500
This villager was once so powerful he thought he could do anything, so it should come as no shock that his arrogance got him trapped and bound to the bottle with black magic

    Thanos:
    Phoenix of the Light-18EBs
    Health: 5000
    Damage: 500-700
Unlike villagers, the dwarves trapped this Phoenix using light magic. This perhaps makes this summon more powerful than what the villagers could ever dream of.

    Thesead:
    Old Mining Golem-20 EBs
    Health: 6000
    Damage: 600-800
It should come as no shock that this old mining golem one day found itself in this container. The golem was retired, but can still destroy mobs very well. Unfortunately, it is expected to break down any day now.

    Eltom:
    Old Mining Golem-20 EBs
    Health: 6000
    Damage: 600-800
It should come as no shock that this old mining golem one day found itself in this container. The golem was retired, but can still destroy mobs very well. Unfortunately, it is expected to break down any day now.

    Rodoroc:
    Magma Image-25 EBs
    Health: 8000
    Damage: 1000-1100
The Power of fire was harnessed using very powerful magic. This image of fire will burn through anything in its path.

    Ahmsord:
    Angel of Darkness-30 EBs
    Health: 9000
    Damage: 1200-1300
You normally envision an angel as a symbol of light, this one, is a symbol of the opposite. Held to fight for you by the demon holding powers of this container, it may break free at any moment.

    Additional Information:

All of these bought from the summoner last for 30 seconds(and gradually increases with the time as you use higher level summons) and last for 3 tries. In order for the magic to balance itself again, there is a 30 second cool down after each use. The mobs that you summon in cannot be hit by your own strikes, and follow you wherever you go. As @abalabahahaP pointed out I need a limit to the amount of mobs that can be summoned at any one time, so the mob limit would be 2 mobs that you could have spawned in at any given time.

If you have any suggestions, like more mobs for the cities please comment, and if you think the prices should be increased then please also command below. If there happens to be another thread on this then by all means ignore this.

If you read the whole thing then thank you, I know this is a massive block of text that I've just placed in here.

I like the concept, but I fell that it's highly unlikely it'll be implemented into the game as you can just buy a bunch of potions, spam a bunch of mobs, and effectively solo any boss because of the insane amount of extra damage output. Maybe limit an amount of mobs that you can summon at a time?

It would be like the potions, you couldn't throw two of the same mob, which limits it severely. I'll limit it to 2 though.

It's a great concept, but what stops me from selling an Angel of Darkness to someone in Detlas or using one of these on one of my low level classes? Maybe there should be a level requirement involved.

You could probably call the merchant a "mob merchant" instead and also, maybe you should also add the idea of using these "bottle mobs" for competitive use or in guild battles. For example, when dueling an opponent, if you send out a summon, it will track/attack the opponent. In guild battles, it'll be just like a summoned mob fighting a regular enemy, but in a guild war area. On top of that, there should be more types of the mob in a single merchant. For example, Ragni has 3 different Tamed Rats, each with the scaling damage that you put (like one has 1-1, 2-2, 3-3. Its better for the higher damaging summons) and a scaling price(1-1 will cost 14 emeralds, 2-2 wil cost 20, 3-3 will cost 24). If that makes any sense whatsoever to you.

The Summoner works for the name in its idea phase, as it adds to the lore a bit more. If they were to add it though, I bet it would be a Mob Merchant. As with the mechanic of this idea, when dueling or in the nether, the mob would go for other players, as otherwise it would be useless. As for the last suggestion to this, can you post stats to the mobs?

I like this idea, and I hope it gets added. The mobs are very well-balanced, although one thing: is there regen on the mobs? Anyway, good idea! +1 support.

I'm actually using the general idea for my gm app... Did not steal it, I had it in mind and written down WAY before I saw this thread. But my idea is different in many ways.

I like this idea, It could be interesting. However, I think you shouldn't put HP regen, really bad Idea. I can stop fighting for a while because my Angle Of Darkness is at 100 of HP.
P.D. Buff prices too (1 tp scroll costs 1 Eb, 1 wolf costs 12 Eb. Then, at lvl 100, only 32 EB for an awesome partner? Thats literlly nothing! Buff a bit the prices of endgame,

GM apps require quests I think, so I don't think ideas like this work for GM apps.
I agree with the regen, I might buff the prices when I get home.
