World Nerf Archer (or At Least In Pvp)

There was post on this yesterday, but it was barely a sentence and wasn't in depth.

Pre-Gavel: Archer was a pretty balanced class and was as balanced as warrior (maybe slightly better).

Gavel: The main problem I have in the actual world, is that archers are way too damn fast. Seriously though, you see archers that can go faster than a 40/40 horse which kinda removes the point of a mount. Not to mention that now, archers get ALL item bombs unless its in a compact room.

Nether: This is the MAIN problem. Nether got re-added earlier and they made it that, instead of your armor and weapon not meaning anything so all lvls are equal (except for skills), its now your actual class fighting so people less than lvl 80 gets 1 shot by all. Lets just go through the other classes quick, mage is better but bad since meteor has to get a direct hit to do any damage at all (unless you do a tank mage), warrior is obviously still good and sometimes can kill you twice, and of course assassin is shit terrible since you cant move without vanish, and when you get to the player and unvanish, you have no mana. Archer however, is too strong in all cases. They litterally run faster than all classes so they escape the easiest, their arrow bomb can 1 shot non-tanks from miles away and they can just run up and 1 shot with arrow storm. Not to mention that many have extreme reflection, so it doesnt give a shit about mages. arrow shield has always been the counter to assasain, but now its just not fair and warrior seems to be the only counter (unless a mage suicides direct meteor into it).

Plz nerf archer in nether, It litterally comes top 3 at least twice every game.....

 

@Sanae F Kochiya you probably have the most nether experience right now. What are your thoughts on class nether balance?

 

played with sanae and she seemed to be the only non archer on the leaderboard

 

Archer needs the knockback on Arrow Storm in Nether
Damage transfer after death needs to be fixed
Intelligence needs to be fixed for every class
Agility needs to be nerfed for every class

There you have it folks! true story. Although i think adding knockback to arrow storm will make it useless for damage but good for lava trapping... which i dont think is the intended gameplay

If I last 1 arrow storm spam, Im down to 100 health anyways, so I dont think the knockback helps. Keep in mine this is only for a 1v1 if there is an extra person, you are dead

 

I agree, this is a good idea. We can't have the archers dealing tons of damage and a rapid shot skill, that's just mad.

 

Hmm...... Nerf it a little bit. The speed 3 +Movment speed Armour makes it impossible for a mage like me to land a hit on them :_:

 

So first you say that Assassin is "shit terrible" and then you say that it should be nerfed?

 

ALL CLASSES ARE BALANCED, FOR THE FIVE HUNDREDTH TIME.

The classes have strategies. You have to choose your elements carefully in order to do good. It just so happens that Archers (from what I've seen, like me) like to use Air and Thunder, meaning a ton of criticals and fast speed.

no, you seriously have to find a good build to fit your playstyle.

 

tbh the archer is meant to be fast and damage dealing, it's just got terrible defense.

And are those archers also fast and incredibly high-damage dealing?

 

Sadly, Mages and Assasains stand no chance and warriors arent as common

 

I played a bunch of nether today vs every class as Assassin. Here are my thoughts:

Warrior is pretty good, but gets kited by archer and killed pretty quickly by mage and other Warriors. This class is capable of doing a lot of damage and is good vs anyone who gets too close. The person I saw doing the best with it was @Weolcan

Mage is good vs Warrior and Assassin, but gets killed instantly by Archer and pretty quickly by Assassin. It can heal and has good escape, but again dies very easily. The person I saw doing the best on this class was someone whose name I forgot.

Assassin is pretty weak, but can quickly burst most Warriors and Archers down with a smoke bomb into spin attack spam. But in general, this class is very weak. The person I saw doing the best on it was myself...

Archer is by far the strongest nether class right now. All of its spells do absolutely absurd amounts of damage and I was getting one-shot by an Archer only 6-7 levels higher than myself. The person I saw doing the best on this class was @FierceDeity

Now I am not really in a position to talk in depth on this subject matter as today was my first time in the nether in a very long time, but those who I tagged could give an opinion if they want to.

 

I stopped playing after an hour or so and Fierce would sometimes get double the kills than 2nd place, thats mainly because he spent shit tons of money of his freedom (traded for 2 grandmothers cause hes lucky af) and he had a tank of health (apparently around 20k).

Archers are only being labeled as OP right now because of the person who wields the class. Weapons and armor matter now, and if you have a mythic weapon, then....
