World Nerf Dark Forest/lexdale Border

So just last week, I decided to journey into the Dark Forest at level 58 because the mobs in the Olux swamp weren't giving enough XP. I assumed that since the Dark Forest was a level 60 area and I was level 58, I should be able to get to Gelibord with no problem. I was right, and I made it into Gelibord. Then I went about five blocks too far outside the town, ended up just inside Lexdale, and got slaughtered by various level 70 mobs.

Thus, I'd like to suggest that the mobs on the Dark Forest/Lexdale border be nerfed. Gelibord is right on the border, and since it's a smaller town, it's incredibly vulnerable to random invasions from higher-level mobs that players may not be prepared for. This probably wouldn't be too hard, and it would save quite a few lives.

 

Well, how about not going to Lexdale then? It's a higher level area for a reason.

 

maybe you could level up, or do a better job to get there...

And I really don't think that makes much sense. Typically a town (especially a full-size town with banks and all) is surrounded by mobs around the town's recommended level, so level 70+ mobs within about ten blocks of a level 60 town is a bit ridiculous.

 

theres a lvl 150 boss, outside of a lvl 80 town quit complaining...

Actually it does. If the location you were referring to earlier was Qira Hive (or some other quest boss location), it's impossible for a lower-levelled player to accidentally wander into there. On the other hand, it's perfectly possible for a player to accidentally wander too far and cross the Dark Forest/Lexdale border, especially when Gelibord is right on that border.

 

Then dont go to geliboard... simple solutation.

Yeah but I'm around level 60, so I go grind in the level 60 area, and Gelibord is a convenient place for me to sell my stuff/use the bank/identify items/etc. Also it's labelled as a level 60 town on the map, so it follows that if you're level 60 you should be okay there.

 

just go to cinfras, now stop this thread.

 

Wow, that's rude af. @TrashcanMan is just trying to give a suggestion about lowering the lvl of mobs near the Town so he doesn't die while buying potions, or putting stuff in the bank.

 

As I mentioned above, I'm level 58. I don't think I'd do very well in Cinfras.

Strange, I traveled to Cinfras a while back as a level 56 and the only trouble I had was nearly getting cornered by a Corrupted Orc. Even while doing the Headless Hunt quest, when heading to Dullahan's Mansion, I had no trouble fending off some of the Kandor Forest mobs.

 

Yeah it's okay if you expect them but one of the major problems is that they sometimes enter Gelibord and attack you when you think you're safe. Also if you wander too far out and too many mobs spawn, it's pretty easy to die.

Stop trashing on, well, @TrashcanMan. His point is that these mobs are just sudden and shouldn't be there, or he wishes they weren't there as they prove a real challenge and annoyance. Not sure what "boss" this was but it seems like that wasn't exactly out in the open, where you could easily die.
