Website & Forums Theory Tag [30 Supporters]

On the forums there are a lot of theories and a few "speculation" threads (theories of new updates). It would be great to see a new tag for this, rather than people having to post it in the general Wynncraft section with either the Spoiler tag (which is kinda clickbait) or no tag.

EDIT: I can't change the title of the poll. Pretend it's "Would you Like to See a New Forum Tag on the Forums?"

Also, if you clicked "No" on the poll because you didn't want a new section but you wanted a tag instead, I'm letting you know that you can change your vote :)

A theory sub-forum would be cool but I'm pretty sure most of the threads in it would be by the folks mentioned above.

 

It would be pretty useless, as the only theorists i know are @SPYROHAWK @Rujala and @Mular5

 

I don't think this would be such a good idea, as splitting it would destroy the sense of a "General Suggestion"-section.

 

I like the concept. Only I don't think there are enough theorists to make the section needed. Lately due to various reasons the have been an outbreak of theories, but in the long run I don't think it's needed.

Like I'm not against it. I would love for there to be a theory section. I just don't think it's needed.

The thing is that theories aren't a suggestion. I actually placed my theory in the Wynncraft section because it discusses Wynncraft. Placing it in General Suggestion seems like you're making stuff up. I would be nice if they at least made an actual Theory tag since spoiler seems to be the only appropriate tag to use at the moment.

 

Theory tag sounds even better, since the thread is about Wynncraft. Just like the 'wour work' section has a tag for everything you make.

 

the reasons there are so many theories are because people decide to make a theory about everything instead of joining them together.

 

Theory Tag does sound really nice, tbh.

You make it sound like we could easily tie Qira, Bob, Bal'ak and Yahya together into one theory. It's extremely difficult to make one theory for all of WynnCraft.

So a theory tag would be my favorite option here. And once again, it goes in wynncraft, not suggestions

The other thing thats hard about a theory section would be that fact that everyone would fight over it. Who is the best in the section. It kind of stops the working together aspects.

Sure we don't need it, but there's a human instinct called competition that causes the brain to work harder when there is competition. While, yes it can spam up the forums (even tho most theories last on the front page for like 3 days), it allows more free flow of thought. If only one person posted theories, we'd be missing on a lot of information, simply due to the fact theorists have different thought processes and research processes from each other.

 

Plus we use other people theories (with their concent) to fuel our own theories

That way, we can easily avoid them if needed.
