World Elkurn.

Just as a quite suggestion, please can there be more in Elkurn? It's my favourite place on the map but there's barely anything to do there. If there could be more quests or shops or anything, that would be awesome. A clocktower that looks like a mushroom would be kinda awesome. (:

There is a particular loot chest there in a pen.
It's basically only accessible by jumping in. Getting out? Fine with a horse or spell, sure.
Please, for the love of God, make a way out for my poor old level 15 Assassin without them using scrolls or anything. Haha, I'm stuck on one account.

Yeah, it used to be the only place you could get mushrooms, but since that was evidently too much of a challenge to find, they changed the quest in 1.12. Now it's... pretty useless, actually.

 

This is not fully correct. For lower level players who haven't visited Nesaak, Elkurn is very useful. When exploring the northern part of the map it provides an easy checkpoint without spawning in somewhere like Detlas or Ragni. Another example would be a low level who has been to Nesaak. If they manage to escape Nesaak, they have a higher chance of not spawning in Nesaak if they are closer to Elkurn. The point is, as high level players we tend to forget how it can be used in the lower levels.

 

However, it's still devoid of merchants and anything of any financial use, which, even as a low level, I always found irritating.

 

It's only really meant to be a small town, not a city. For example, Maltic has two quests where you go there. This only has one, but only cities are meant to have lots of quests, because not as many people live in villages as cities, which means less people to help. For example, Detlas has at least five quests which require you to go there. And a lot of quests also aren't anything to do with settlements at all.

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply to make it bigger like a city and such, sorry. I just feel as though it's pretty interesting and could use something more defining even if what was added didn't do anything - e.g, a clocktower.

Well, non-major cities are meant to be of different sizes, and all I was meant to imply was that it's a pretty interesting place to be, except there's nothing really there of much use other than for quests. This doesn't necessarily mean that adding something incredibly small would mean that everything else should be updated to be bigger, just something to make Elkurn seem more definable, and it doesn't even need to be interactive. The cities are meant to be distinguishable in style, so I just though that something to make it stand out a little would be cool, not making it a city.

 

I don't count to Tower of Amnesia as a quest in Elkurn, I count it as a quest in a random tower,

 

The problem with Elkurn is that there's no incentive to go there at all. I think the place should get a potion and accessory merchant.

 

No, I wasn't using it as a quest example for Elkurn. I was using it as a quest example for something which isn't set in an area around your level (in some parts of the quest).

 

Elkurn should have a Mushroom Dungeon.

 

I agree, Elkurn is just... it's just there.
