Quite a simple idea. Like in, say, Borderlands, a special saying would be under all the other stats and it'd have an effect related to that saying that they have to use it to find out.

Here's some example ideas for Mythics I had which use this (Of course, the values are variable):

    Pangaea (Chestplate)
    Health: 5000

    Lvl. Min: 100

Ensa created these in the firm belief that simplicity can beat the most intricate plans. They have no shine or interesting features at all, but allow the best to come out of the weakest gear.

Redmorcus created ideas for the existing mythics. Click this spoiler to see them.
Monster- Rage of the Beast- faster attack speed at low health
Lament- Songs of Sorrow- when a player dies within 50 blocks of you, you gain 20/2s mana regen for 30 seconds
Fatal- Lethal Current- your basic attack has a 5% chance to summon a bolt of lightning that deals 300% damage to everything nearby, including yourself!
Apocalypse- Awakening of the Fallen- if you have 5% or less of your health left, you gain extremely powerful buffs to strength and defense, but upon returning to above 10% health you receive crippling debuffs for 30 seconds
Guardian- Last Stand- gain increased attack damage if player within 30 blocks are at low health
Alcatraz- Earthbound- your uppercut spell is severely weakened, while your bash spell is massively buffed
Az- Ronaaz- basic attacks have a 5% chance to shoot a shotgun blast of five arrows
Ignis- Blazing String- arrows have a 10% chance to apply a 150/3s fire damage effect
Spring- Flowing Currents- arrows have slightly less range, but explode into enchanted water that debuffs enemies in an AoE
Grandmother- Ancient Lands- gain different elemental buffs when in different biomes (ex. earth and water are stronger in the swamp)
Straiformis- Wispy Clouds- gain superfast movement when at extremely low health
Weathered- Ages Past- enemies hit by this dagger have a 50% chance to be slowed 20%
Archangel- Lord of Skies- wielding this dagger gives 80% fall damage reduction, higher jumping buffs, and extra damage while in midair
Inferno- Eruption- killing an opponent with your basic attack causes them to explode in a ring of fire, which can set of chain reactions
Grimtrap- Mortal Wound- every blow with this dagger permanently removes 10% of the damage that blow did from their health pool (only works on mobs, not players)
Pure- Sacred Soul- for every creature of decay/corruption that you kill, you get 1% bonus temporary spell damage, lasting up to 10 minutes (yes this does stack)
Gaia- One With Earth- your earth and poison damage increase as your y coordinate decreases
Freedom- No Limitations- your arrows deal extra damage in the element their target is weak to

    So... yeah. That's it.

    Let's start off:
#1: They're examples. While they could be implemented, it's not what they were made for.
#2: Cobra is 1.33x poison damage alongside its +50. With a full poison build, that's pretty good, especially since it has a fairly low stat req.
#3: Pangaea is made for using melee damage and, most importantly, tanking stuff.
#4: Morph being annoying is the entire point :P

Simply put, I feel like the idea of mythic weapons was so that you'd have this one piece of gear that super focused your build. Notice how each mythic determines the type of build you're going to use? Like for example if you have a pure, everything else is dedicated to only buffing spell damage.

Point is, I feel like the point of a mythic is like the ultimate focus for a build, and that having it as the weapon means that you can only use one mythic at a time. IMO makes it easier to balance

Gaia doesn't do this to any greater extent than any zodiac armor.
Freedom is the exact opposite of build focusing.
    Lament doesn't manage it either
Monster gives most buffs to melee but doesn't nerf spells except for Ice Snake
Fatal isn't very focusing, just random.
Az is the same as fatal.
Ignis doesn't focus that much, but I guess it is tank oriented.
I guess Spring has high reqs but there's a lot you can do with the skill points left over.

Most of them just rely on stat caps to do this. Also, none of the current mythics mix with Cobra very well due to stat reqs. Pangaea is the most extremely build focusing item in the game, forcing you into one playstyle.

I like it. This mechanic would make mythical seem a whole lot more… mythical. In my opinion items called "mythical" should be a lot more special compared to normal items. They shouldn't just have better stats.

Also, can you add a poll?

Also I said its the final focus of a build, not exactly that every build has to do with its skill points, if that makes sense

For example, freedom is the ultimate weapon of an all-rounder build.

Well, you could, theoretically. However, what weapon would you even switch to/from? What's the point? And also, what weapon could you switch to that would have a completely different effect while still meeting your build requirements?
