Assassin Changes?

I think we can all agree that the assassin is a very decent class, but definitely can use some improvements/changes. For one, its lack of approach. All classes have an approach, warrior and his charge, archer his escape, and Mage his teleport. The assassin has his vanish but what makes his approach so under whelming compared to other classes is the consumption of hunger. I feel as if they should remove the hunger consumption as he is invisible, or change his vanish to something like blink. What do you guys think?

 

The last tier of Vanish gives speed and (I think) jump boost.

It does, but it takes up so much mana while invisible so you can't really use another spell afterwards. It does give good mobility but I think the hunger consumption while invisible will make the assassin a much more viable class

While invisible, even though you are walking and not running or jumping, it still consumes hunger and I'm saying that they should remove that

I have never experienced hunger consumption while vanished since 1.1.2.

I have never experienced it. In fact, that was one of the reasons I didn't play Assassin much; if I was in danger I could Vanish and regenerate all my health and mana. It was, and currently seems to be, essentially 16 seconds of invincibility.

 

Hunger consumption is gone, what you are referring to is the constant depreciation of mana due to vanish. Use vanish run 3 blocks loot at your mana bar, it will take 3 mana away. Stand still after that for 3 seconds, 3 mana will be taken away.

I don't know if you used your mystical moderator and GM powers to negate it, but vanish does cause mana loss.

 

"Mystical moderator and GM powers" do not exist. The only moderator powers we get is what's necessary to deal with players that are breaking the rules. It hardly goes past /ban and /unban.

 

I was joking. I was merely trying to say that perhaps your assassin class is bugged and vanish doesn't cause mana loss. Or maybe everyone else's classes are bugged and vanish isn't supposed to cause mana loss.

 

why dont u get High mana regen, OR enough speed so you will be at your area your planning to go too before you run out.

 

So this guy wants vanish to be as strong as multihit. Honestly, at 1 hunger I use vanish, run, and regen. Keep in mind that vanish is a spell meant to use as an emergency.

than you clearly havent played assassin a lot , mybe before gavel but now , it doesnt matter that you are vanished for 15 seconds because after 8 you run out of mana so you become visible again
