Website & Forums Make A Suggestion Staff.

Ima keep this pretty short. We all know that most suggestions are SO retarded, that it makes mods want to never go on suggestions again, like 4chan. Normally these threads get completely neighed, but some have too much supporters, even when mods are making fun of it....
Not to mention that the only thought about thrsads are the ones with 1999999999 supports sadly.

SO WHY NOT MAKE A GOD DAMN SUGGESTION GROUP.

Its pretty simple.

Several people are selected/tested to moderate this section. With about 9 people in this squad, they all review a thread and which ever gets 3-5 Neighs instead of yays, gets locked and replied with a "rejected". The ones that arent, get held for another review where they edit the idea and go through another vote with admins to decide wether or not to go to the final phase. This is where the idea gets voted on by the community on a completely new section. If it passes, It gets implemented.

What test? IDK. Make them choose what they think are good and bad ideas. Kinda like an Overwatch system.

 

Because 9 people shouldn't decide what's good and bad for an entire forum?

 

Because the general public deserves a voice?

 

Then why not let them each elect one of the 9

 

That's not the public speaking, that's just representatives, the only true way for a suggestion to be judged is to be shown to the public and not to 9 people who like InvertedReaper said, get to decide everything that happens

Nine people can be prejudiced against certain suggestions, no matter how detailed and frankly excellent they are.

Mods have nothing to do with suggestions. Same applies to the content team. Only admins can actually do anything with them.

 

As much as I'd like to stop seeing "pls add my original class idea, you'll never guess the name... yes it is rogue/barbarian/pirate/dragonsomething and here are its spells with a rather vague description of what they look like but not what they do oh and it requires having another class that is lv45/75+ which is totes original", a group of people can't decide for a whole community :/

Let's say that 3 people are against, let's say, attacking pets. A few others don't think a certain suggestion involving attacking pets is good enough. The vote will be skewed based off of that! It would be nigh-impossible to select such a fair group.

 

I say 3 because 5 would mean half of them would go through and there would still be retarded ones and I say 5 because some are smart, and 3 people might just like it. BTW attacking pets would make it unfair for nonvips

 

I had a pre forum wipe thread that had a similar idea but instead of locking the thread it would move it to a subsection for good ideas.
It had pretty good arguments in the comments why it's a bad idea.

 

Eh, I still think that the community should decide for themselves if it's good and not 9 people.

 

I'm pretty sure admins don't give a damn about our suggestions

 

which is why I dont see why people are arguing for a constant community thing
