World More Quests Like ???

Now, first off I don't get banned for mentioning ???, but I promise, no spoilers.
Basically, the title says it all. ??? is a really neat idea, similar to how in ElderScrolls, or FallOut, where you aren't told where quests are. Essentially, I'd like to see more quests with this kind of idea/concept, especially because ??? made me really look at the world, and I met some cool folks trying to do ??? as well.

inb4 "??? is too hard/is bad".

 

The ??? quest is truly a favorite, due to the mystery and the idea of having to look everywhere to find the quest. It gives the player a true sense of adventure.

 

Not only that, but actually completing it, it give you a sense of real accomplishment.

 

I've gotta be the only active player who hasn't completed this. .-.

 

Dont worry, there are tons of folks who haven't figured it out, find them out, and work together ;)

 

I like/don't like the idea of, to just start the quest you have to find it out of any were in the thousands of blocks in the map, and with almost no leads to were it can be. It could be in a under-sea cave with a 1x1 entrance that only opens every full moon for all we know. I wish they had left more clues.

But I like the mystery element and following clues and making sense of it and the feeling of accomplishment when you finally finish it.

This is coming from someone who completed the quest.

It's one thing to not be told where a quest is. It's another thing to be told ABSOLUTELY NOTHING during the entire thing. Remember that the Content Team initially didn't expect people to complete it for months, and A LOT less people would've done the quest if it had not been for people who already knew about the quest before it was released. ??? is the absolute lowest rung on the game design ladder. Where you're given pretty much nothing about it and still expected to complete it. So yeah, no more of that.

Though I do agree that quests shouldn't hold your hand as often. Like, we shouldn't really get the exact coordinates of where things are all the time. We should be given a location and a general direction (north, south, east, west, etc.) and that's it. If they give us the next quest point right down to the block, they might as well just teleport us there.

 

Really? I down right hated that quest.

 

I like the idea of it being a mystery, but don't like the strict no talk rule.

Like just say try to keep it a secret unless someone REALLY needs to know

 

I have no idea where it is and i most likely will ignore trying to find the quest until i complete all other quests.

Also for all i know the quest could start from a random guy from the starting area.

 

But seriously most people dont want to spend 1 hour to find the quests, with the only clue being the quest name, there is going to be more ??? quests i believe, but every quest if it doesnt have coords rip everybodys souls, most people didnt even find ??? yet like if every quest didnt give coords, im not okay, but if theres a few special quests that doesnt have coords im fine.

 

The first clue actually kind of makes sense.

 

Watch us one year later discover a button in Ragni that has us on a 45-step quest that isn't in the book

 

There already is another hidden quest. Or two.

It's possible, but it won't be the hardest quest. ??? is an insanely easy quest. If anything, ??? will lead to... y'know, I probably shouldn't continue.

??? wasn't hard to find either. And as long as it doesn't show how to do ???, it's fine to share.

btw it was hard just when you look back at it you think it wasnt
