Cool Items!

So first of all, these are just concepts. Things like levels, damage, elements, ect. will not be listed if they are not important. Once again, this is just concepts!

So I was highly interested in the boots called statue. How it made ure health really high but only left you with 2% movement speed.

So I was thinking, what other cool idea like that could be interesting? Well here are a few I came up with:

Ankh (wand): -100% health regen, +100% life steal

---

Snake Staff (wand): 1 damage, super high poison

---

Oxy Blade (dagger) [Oxy means sharp]: No IDs, just super high damage (perhaps armor piercing)

---

Oxymoron (spear) [Oxy means sharp, moron means dull]: 0-600 damage

---

Trick-Shot (bow): -100 Strength, +100 dexterity

---

Dynamite (bow): 100% exploding

---

Volcanic Wave (spear): Fire and Water defense, Fire and Water damage (no neutral damage)

---

Kick-Back (boots): +500% speed. (so fast you can't control yourself)

---

Soul-Eater (helmet): -100% mana regen, +100% mana steal

---

The Hungry One (chestplate): -200% mana and health regen (which I assume makes them go down over time), +200% mana and life steal

---

Arcane Greves (leggings): -100% melee damage, +100% spell damage

---

Brute Greves (leggings): +100% melee damage, -100% spell damage

--

Inverse Staff (wand): -200% damage, -200% spell damage (which I assume heals whatever amount of damage you were supposed to do, and probobly causes your heal to hurt you)

Did you even read the first part? I said these are just concepts, that I was not gonna include stuff like that...

 

This is a SpyroThread™, so I figured I would say that anyway. Some of these items even seem game-breaking. What you could do is add the more important information and try again.

 

I never thought that would be a trademark. I am going to edit and revise these btw. But could you tell me which ones are game-breaking? It would help me with balancing.

 

i like the idea of the Oxy blade, but it should be level 65, you need +15 strength, and +3 agility.

 

most of them are cool ideas but the oxymoron kinda doesn't sound good and a bit offencive (you know.. cause of moron) maybe call it something like laplace ? (because luck and stuff like that)

 

It's not quite offensive, it's a figure of speach, a paradox. Like "dark light". ;D

 

i mean that people use moron as an insult. thats why it's offensive

 

Oxymoron literally means sharp and dull. But the term is used to describe two words that come next to each other but are opposites. Some examples of Oxymorons are:

Jumbo Shrimp

Pretty Ugly

Fast Snail

Small elephant


It's no offensive, it's just a figure of speech

Oxymoron is very common. Yes, moron is an insult, but only if you don't bother to read the oxy part...

I believe he means that these items will never be added unless you're an GM.

And who would use this wand?

 

It's not fucking offensive, it's a language device. Look it up. If you're offended by an unrelated word containing a mild insult then please return home and suck your thumb until you're ready to deal with life.

 

Cancer would be to OP with this, since cancer gives you around -130% melee dammage, but loads of poison. When you have Brute Greves on, you'd only have -30% melee dammage, so putting Taurus on would be kinda of OP.... \o/ (Taurus gives you +1000 melee dammage, 1000 * 70% (<== is the amount of melee dammage left) gives you +700 melee dammage! Crap thats alot!

 

I did not think of that. I just thought of each item in terms of isolation, not paired with other stuff

 

These could use some balancing here and there when it come to combining with other armor pieces, but these do sound neat, I like gimmicky stuff.

 

I can't balance without specifics on the problems...
