Bosses are a huge part of Wynncraft, and can be a fun alternative to the usual grinding. However, certain bosses have drops required for quests. While normally this seems okay, it can make doing quests like the Hive or Tower of Ascension take many, many tries to finally get the drop from the boss.

So, what I am proposing to you all, is an alternative way of making sure someone killed the boss. Normally, killing a boss will have it drop an item (like a Shard from Qira) and the player must pick it up to continue the quest. However, this makes it difficult to fight the boss in large groups, which some such as Qira or Death are built around. In it's current state, a boss will drop around 2-3 of their drop, depending on the players who damaged it most. Players who already did the quest can still pick it up, making it even harder for those who have not gotten the item to progress.

How this works is that once a group has defeated a boss, those who participated will be teleported out, and instead of getting a drop, if they have the quest on them, it will automatically update. Those who finished/do not have the quest completed up to that point will not get an update in their book. The players would then be teleported out of the arena and can talk to the NPC to finish the quest.

This would be beneficial to parties letting them not have to kill the boss twenty times to all get the drop.

TL;DR Make the boss automatically update their book instead of dropping an item when killed.

With the current system we have, this is impossible.

We would have to set up quest bosses like we have dungeon bosses, but that makes the system too easily abusable and causes a hell of a lot of finagling and ridiculous exploitation of loopholes that would make creating any quest a massive endeavor that's just not worth the time. If we did this, quests with bosses would most likely take at least a couple months longer to make than they normally do and that's already a pretty lengthy process.
