Damage Cooldown

    The problem isn't that the blocks are in the way... the problem is that the blocks are "too close" (even if it's a wall behind you) so you won't be able to teleport. It is ridiculous that this restriction exists and it screws me over so many times

    I wasn't talking to you personally, I was just putting that out there. If there are no good grinding spots in this cave, why are you there? ._.

    I know that, but who knows, maybe someone can find a grinding spot.

    It could be a good grinding spot, or the best.

    Considering you used the word "Cave" I assume it is a semi-large, open space underground somewhere. In this case, there is no greater spot in a cave to grind, since most places are large enough to hold enough places to fit each class. As Captain Ganon has said, Mage is a ranged class and shouldn't be getting up close and personal with mobs, and due to this range, there should be an adequate gap to get away from a group of approaching mobs.

    I can see where this could cause a problem. I agree that such a restriction should be removed .

    All the good grinding spots, even the decent ones, I know have somewhere a mage can TP to and be perfectly safe.

    the problem with the cave troll area is that every once in a while it's a good idea to round them up into a big group of like 50-75 which can get really dangerous if they trap you in a corner

    He doesn't mean that there are blocks in the way, he's referring to the fact that teleport doesn't always work if the caster is touching a wall, or more often, a corner.
