"As some of you noticed, some Loot chests seem to be missing one thing.... loot. Who could be taking this loot you may ask? Chests usually break after being open in wynncraft.

I have a Proposition. A magical entity is stealing the loot without destroying the magical properties of these chests. his name? Cheaster. No one knows if he's invisible, an imp, gnome, fairy, or whatever. All we know is that Loot chests have nothing when adventurers find them. "

IDEA
This was something I've been getting a bit irritated from, but not because I'm getting nothing in this chest. Chests are pretty boring sometimes. when you open it, either you get loot or don't. One thing that I feel might put a twist onto loot chests are certain events made by this entity called Cheaster

(Some of you may be wondering, why Cheaster. why not just Chester or whatever... I mean, how else is he getting into those chests without cheating.)

Cheaster can do one of three things, one that already is implemented into the game.

1. Troll Chests. (Already Implemented) Chests that appear but have nothing inside. Pretty simple, and troll inducing, or may just hold junk items such as rotten flesh, or Golden Teeth.

2. Chest Mimic. ( 1% Chance)
"Some adventurers have had experienced seeing chests appearing and laughing while running away from them. Others have claimed that they were just drunk. "

A chest that seems in place, but as soon as you right click it, it spawns into a chest mimic. the level of the mimic will depend on the level of what loot you are getting. If you kill it, you will get about 2000 Exp regardless of how strong or weak it is. But beware, they will run away from you, and most of the time, they will try to get themselves killed by other mobs

3. Cheaster's Clothing. (Rarer to find than Legendary equipment.) At really rare occasions, you may find just a part of Cheaster's clothing set. the set is not meant to be used for fighting. This set is supposed to mimic Cheaster's way of stealing loot from loot chests.

Bumping since no one even bothered to critique...

 

Well this is certainly an interesting idea...
However, a few points:
1. If the mimic chest gives 200 XP to everybody, then it would be ridiculously OP at lower levels. You should probably have it scale according to level.
2. I don't think it's possible to have hostile mobs attack each other right now, though I suppose it could be coded in.
3. Maybe the troll chests should have something in them to mark them as trolls, like a bunch of junk items.
4. Cheaster's Clothing seems pretty balanced though I'm no expert on stuff like this.

 

Way too much xp. 2k? It should be something like level x 150 or something like that as the set bonus is for level 20 so this is kinda low level thing. Also gear is op.... WAY TO OP. For level 20 it should be around 150 hp per piece. 500 per piece is like level 25-30?

 

I figured the HP was a bit too much,
And the XP i can decrease to about 300 XP, would that be fair, or stil OP?, it's not supposed to be a common event, if anything, the chest would be as rare as the pumpkin zombie.

The mimic chest would have a green name since the chest wouldn't be attacking you, just running away, and also, I think i've seen mobs fight each other on the server before.

 

Hmm 300xp is kinda nooby. I put 150 per level. so if you are level 10 its 1500 xp or something likte that. Still kinda OP I guess. maybe 100 per level?
