I think they did this to give Mage healing lvl 2 an actual use. Remember? Mage healing upgrade level 2: Removes fire and negative status effects.

Before the update this had no use at all, because fire didnt hurt you. In pvp it was somewhat useful, but considering that pve is a larger aspect in Wynncraft, the healing spell was pretty useless for solo mages.

Now I'm a happy mage main who heals off deadly fire as other players around me suffer a painful, burning death :)

I can spam my heal because of my mana regen and mana steal lol.
