World Nerfing Ranged Mobs

    Pretty much anyone who has gotten as far as Troms knows where I'm coming from with this. Mobs who shoot projectiles are incredibly annoying due to their shooting speed, range, and general overpowered-ness. For me, this really came to a point when I was fighting the Phoenixes near Thanos. Their attack's range, power, and spread puts Arrow Storm to shame and when trying to fight other mobs, you're constantly getting bombarded with crap you can't avoid which more often than not ends up killing you (though this applied to most ranged mobs).

    If they're gonna shoot fast, that's fine. Just decrease their damage output so when you inevitably end up facing like 5 like of them, they don't kill you in seconds. If they're gonna be powerful, that's also fine. But don't have them shoot so fast so we actually have a chance to avoid their attacks every once in a while. With how prevalent the "turret"-type mobs are in Wynn, it's really annoying and overall bad enemy balancing when a bunch of high-speed, high-power projectiles are flying at you and you have little to no options of evasion.

    Just a relatively minor gripe, but it could go a long way.

    This needs to be done.

    Only archers got proper ranged attacks to counter this, if they can outlast the machinegun fire of ranged mobs nowadays, as any other class you are bound to get hit a lot before you reach your enemy, especially as a warrior.

    i can handle them pretty well as a Mage, but yeah Warriors and Assassins are slaughtered by ranged mobs

    Agreed. My warrior when I was still doing max tank got nearly destroyed by the Phoenixes outside Thanos. I still nearly die to them at level 92, but then I'm now using negative health regen.

    I feel like the only defence an Assassin has is Vanish, and even then at the lower grades you'll most likely get hit by one as you Vanish, and at the higher levels your mana just dies in about 4 Seconds.

    Wait til' you see those fucking crystals in the quest "Marauder's dues"

    I don't think should it should nerfed to the ground, rather, each mob should have different projectile speeds. Slow projectiles that do lots of damage (like a big fireball that explodes) or fast projectiles that do little damage, or slow/fast projectiles that cause potion effects, etc.

    Yep, this clearly has to be done, at any level the ranged mobs are just deadly when you encounter a lot of them.
    And even more now that the spawn rate has been increased since you can easily get stuck trying to go forward in a cave or something but ranged mobs respawn behind you and you get trapped between multiple.
    And when it happen, well you'll probably end up resting in peperroni.

    I went to get the bow relic today... I had half health going in, which was dumb, and I literally died in half a second. So I say when there are multiple ranged enemies in a small space, they're a problem, so I agree.

    The damage of Phoenixes IS actually very low; less than a quarter of what it's 'supposed' to deal...and in fact, a lot of ranged mobs have had their attack rates or damage nerfed in response to this, preemptively.

    Did you forget Salted's advice? Ranged mobs are somewhat inaccurate now, so if you keep moving it's much harder for them to hit you, even at close range.

    I'd say the worst ones are those in the Hive Fire floor. Those stupid bats that charge constantly AND shoot projectiles, they were extremely hard for me to kill ;-;

    They're not really hard to do,

    Warrior, just charge or war scream to get past them, you don't have to kill em
    Assassin: just vanish and run away
    Mage: you have ranged attacks......
    Archer...... i mean, you do too.

    Not to mention, Salted has said, Stock up on potions, you'll need em...

    They do not need a nerf, you just have to play smarter. (not an insult)

    Well then it better become an eighth or something. How accurate you are means nothing when there are like 5 of them shooting at you from all angles AND you're trying to fight off other mobs which leaves incredibly narrow wiggle room to dodge. Also, Phoenixes have the awesome benefit of having a lot of spread to their attacks, making it even harder.

    If your solution to dealing with an enemy is running away, then doesn't that mean something is wrong?

    The Phoenixes are a problem? I haven't fought them yet but try the goblins around Llevigar Plains at level 50. The only exception should be the Great Bridge, as the Great Bridge is meant to be a challenge, not something where the mobs do little damage.

    I can dodge most projectiles mobs throw at me, but the phoenix seem to act differently. I swear they shoot cluster projectiles and that the projectiles don't move in a straight line but turn around and keep circling around the area making a storm of projectiles.

    I have never had any problems with ranged except for one mob in the air floor. Only mob i have died to D:

    Yeah, Phoenixes need a buff, as an archer, i was able to run around the canyon of the lost looking for troll hairs and never felt threatened...
