Corrupter Of Worlds Has Too Much Elemental Resistance.

I've fought this boss about twenty times now and this boss seems to nullify every bit of damage I do. As a Mage, I rely on elemental damage. However, he seems to nullify it completely, so I do no damage to him at all. In addition, whenever someone comes to assist me, I do so little damage that the Corrupter never drops the heart for me. This is quite irritating because I even use the Ethereal wand. My meteor doesn't even do any damage to him. It would be amazing if this could be fixed.

 

He's got 220 thunder, earth, and water resistance. Maybe get a fire or an air wand, like Sunrise?

Dang.... 220? Is that a bit too high? Thats pretty much saying that you cannot use those elements at all even at maxed out levels. What if you are doing a build with no fire or air element points (Agility and Defense) Archer usually uses air, and warrior uses fire. Is that kinda biased toward other calsses?

 

I am having this same problem. I have a sunrise but cant use it because of skillpoints :(

I solo'd CoW as a Warrior earlier today with an air weapon. Just bring tons of potion ma, maybe wait to level up. But the air weapon definitely helps.

 

Bosses should not be made to rek certain elemental builds, it just makes the boss fights even more annoying.

220 defence for almost every element + the insane health regen bosses have makes them even worse than pre-gavel.

And I thought boss fights were improved. Just remove the bloody boss hp regen.

 

The point of resistance is having to trade/grind for weapons with different elemental damage. Its a new way of approaching bosses, which makes it fun, I believe.

 

Just use spells that use different elemental damage.

 

Is elemental resistance factored in before or after spell damage?

 

FUN - Spending 3 le to reset your skill points so you can use THE GODAMN WAND!

 

Diablo possibly. Although mine has perfect id's so idk

 

Since when do reset scrolls cost 3 LE

 

For different wands and sometimes you miscalculate and do it again

 

Thats why I said it only hurts certain builds and is biased toward certain classes / builds. It should be equal defense distributed across elements

 

The thing is, that creates a very VERY boring boss, if all bosses just resist every element. Plus, that encourages builds that only deal Neutral damage! There's no way to please everyone with the new system and that's sorta the point.

 

Then what's even the point of adding elements in the first place?

 

To spice up the gameplay, encourage teamwork, and force critical thinking and prevent players from falling into the lapse of 'okay this item is best all others are useless'.

 

Well if elements do all these great things, why encourage Neutral damage builds, which probably has the biggest case of "This item does the most damage, so all others are useless"?

In my opinion, the point of elements is to be make fighting more complex than "Hit this thing with the weapon that does the highest damage and win". At the very least, it forces you to use multiple weapons that would see no use otherwise. But by making a boss immune to all elemental damage, all of that just flies out the window.
