Playing as a mage currently is painfully hard--- you have to survive 21 levels until you obtain Meteor, your first attacking spell. You have to go 21 levels of spamming your basic attack that does very low damage compared to other classes. Your only spells within that area are Heal, and Teleport, one of which is basically a supporting move, and the other one a mobility move.

With the Gavel update, this pain is even more real. At lower levels, Heal heals around next to nothing compared to what amount of HP you actually have; and you don't really need it at that low of a level since well, there is nothing that you can really support at that level. What is the point of getting Heal at level 1 when at this early in the game, you won't even really need it, it heals very low at this stage, and it will rarely get used?

I have one or two suggestions to remedy this.

Option One: Switch the levels in which Heal and Meteor are obtained; Meteor at level 1, and Heal at Meteor's current level, 21.

This would be the most realistic solution, as Heal doesn't get used that often until around the mid-last stages of levels since that is when the difficult increases by a large amount. It could also solve some of the balance issues regarding Mage in comparison to all of the other classes, as starting out with an attack like the rest would help it grow faster.

Option Two: Let Heal damage any undead type of monster.

This would fix balance issues regarding Mage as well; any undead-type of monster (Zombies, Skeleteons, Pigmen, etc.) would take damage from Heal using this formula: Amount of Health healed by heal x 2.5. This means that the %of damage calculated would be 2.5 times the amount of Health one would heal with their heal, giving a large variety of options regarding builds. It would also give Mages the ability to do more damage with spells, which is the main specialty of Mages.

(personally, I am aiming for option two)

    Wrong.
    Heal I now really op.
Try heal if you have a wand with the water element. I tried this and for the first few levels, heal did nothing. Now it is like a less powerful version of a health potion which can heal others, remove potion effects and fire and in the end heals over time.

Excuse me, what are you saying wrong to, exactly?

This is not about the really "heal"ing aspect of heal; more like the placement of it and the way that it affects the player's experience on Wynncraft, and how it could be changed to better it. What is the point of obtaining heal at such a low level in which it is insignificant and just like you said, a less powerful version of a potion? Why cripple Mage in the way that it has to go through 21 painstakingly difficult levels in which their only method of dealing damage is through their basic attack, which is their worst aspect, spell damage and support being their best. Nowhere in this post did I call Heal weak or horrible, I just said that its placement was weird. Adding a way to do damage through Heal would also give Mage another way to do damage, at lower levels, and even more at higher levels as well.

Its not just a less powerful version of a potion. It is a less powerful version of a potion which does not cost money. Some low levelled players who don't progress quickly through the game will use up a lot of potions. This means lots of money is used. So heal is an emerald-free heal potion essentially, which is actually quite useful at low levels. Plus, health potions are as effective as heal at this point.

Eh try have a giant community bugging you all day getting angry at you, not only that but the lag is mostly caused of the players, if you expected them to find a way to lower it with what they have then that's just no...

As an active mage player, I can confidently say that heal may be useful for levels 1-5 but by the time you have 30+ health it becomes excruciatingly useless. Even with more health, your heal still only gives you about 5-10 hearts. It remains useless like this until you have access to decent elemental armors and weapons at about lvl 30, and during most of this time, you still don't have any reliable damaging spells. I don't think that mage's meteor should be made the first spell learned, but heal needs to be fixed, not buffed, because it's practically broken in its current state. Furthermore, the base damage on mage weapons needs an increase to account for the extreme disadvantage mages have in terms of dealing damage early on. And in order to make mages not overpowered, here is my solution. All mage weapons before lvl 21 when you learn meteor should be buffed by about 30%. This way, mage players will be able to keep up with other classes in early levels but stay balanced in later levels after meteor, a mage's main damage source, is acquired. If this means having lvl 12 wands that are just as good as level 22 wands, it's what the class needs to stay viable to players. Because as of now, players aren't giving mage a lot of love. Hopefully, people like my idea and something like this can happen to fix this broken class.
