World No Pack Option

Honestly, the pack is really great and all, but I think that it shouldn't be 100% mandatory. If someone wants to play with the default look, so what?

 

Because casting spells with log blocks is a lot less epic.

 

You're gonna be holding a block, for one.

 

So? What if we like the look of default M

inecraft and are used to it.

 

Because this is how the game is supposed to look now. We have lots of blocks that have been changed into completely different things. It'd break the immersion of so many quests and so many builds.

 

Just want to confirm- You're totally fine with fighting monsters using wooden stairs that spit sparks?

 

Hey, lets kill this Zombie with this block.

 

I've always wanted to smash zombie's heads with sandstone.

 

Okay, go murder a zombie holding stairs with an iron ingot.

 

Easy enough to find what blocks are what items, so say, lime wool is a wand, and replace the texture with a stick

 

They could theoretically make another optional resource pack remaking all the blocks into the normal items like sticks and shears, this would cost a lot of unnecessary work though.

 

Depends on how you look at it. You have to be pretty magical to cast spells using nothing but a log.
I do prefer seeing my bow instead of a slab, though.
