Archer Problem

Hey everyone :)
I am playing with my friend on this server. We are having A TON of fun but we found a "problem".
I am playing warrior he is a archer. We try to make me the tanky one who takes all of the hits and he deals the dmg. The thing is that i am often in his way (he can't shoot through me). That makes it harder for me to protect him.
It would be nice if this can be changed but it is not nessecary.
Tell me if you also have this problem. :)

Edit: I should say that the problem is with ranged mobs and him getting agro instead of me.

 

You want arrows to be able to pass through players? I dont think so...

 

If arrows pass through players, that would ruin the realism of Minecraft, and plus, it's unfair

 

Yeah probably :)
But mobs dont have this problem :)
So actually it is unfair right now. And i want that defense it not NEEDED on fx archer who is supposed to deal slot of dmg. :)
And hey :) it's just a suggestion. A gamesuggestion!

 

you can protect an archer by using your warcry and keeping mobs away with the tons of cc you have. you don't have to sit in his face.

 

Yes i know but i have to be to some degree in front og him :)

Also, you want realism?
That is not what i set highest on my list. I prefer gameplay and lore/story.

Well ranged mobs Will often just target my friend :)

 

To keep the agro off of him, it would work best if you run in and keep attacking the mobs, bash is really good for this.

 

Yeah, let's just make arrows fly through other players.

They try REALLY hard to make all their logic and lore make sense

 

In that you are not quite right ALL lore dorsn't make sense. :) The quest: "A Qongused Farmer" is a good example that doesn't make sense.

 

The farmer was a drunkard.

It makes sense. It even goes on to explain how it all happened

 

He wasn't drunk all the 3 years.

 

It says in the quest that he got really drunk and kidnapped drale. He then proceeded to never pay attention to him again, while drale didn't make any human noises.

 

I'm not going to discuss with you wether it makes sense or not
