World The Great Whale

This is my first Quest. Tell me if any of the features wont work or cant be done in 1.7.10.
Also the stats for the mobs and rewards are most likely bad.

Couldn't think of a good name. But @htmlman1 thought of a name at least for the NPC.

Quest Name: The Great Whale
Quest: Easy/Medium (I don't know which)
Location(s);
Starting location: Nemract boat dock.
Quest Locations: Doby Mick's Ship, Inside the great whale.
End location: Nemract Boat dock on one of the ships.
Lvl: 39 or 40.
Summary of quest:
You talk to Doby Mick and he tells you about a great Whale that was corrupted and is causing problems for other ships. (May or may not change) You are sent to prove your strength for him. When you prove your strength he takes you onto his ship where you then confront the Great Whale and are eaten by it after shooting it with a cannon. You wake up in the inside of the whale and see some strange lights coming from further down and you go to see it. When you go and look its a corrupted patch with a creature corrupting it. You kill the creature and escape the beast... You escape the whale and come out off the coast of the savannah area. When you get back to Nemract, the captain has made it back safely and gives you your reward.

Stage 1:
Talk to Doby Mick on a boat in Nemract.
If Below 39(or 40);
Doby Mick: I heard you are looking for money, but this job is to hard for you. Come back later when you are stronger.

At 39(40) or above:
Doby Mick: So, you are looking to make some extra money I've heard.
Doby Mick: I may have just the job for you and it pays well.
Doby Mick: There is this Great Whale that roams the sea. The Whale never caused any issues or hurt anyone. But, a few months earlier something changed about the Whale and it is now attacking any ship that it sees.
Doby Mick: I need your help. I had a crew for my ship, but a bit of them ran off because they were too afraid of the whale.
Doby Mick: But, I cant just let anyone get on my ship. You need to prove yourself in some way.
Doby Mick: Hmmm... How about proving yourself by bring back [32 Rotten flesh] and [10 Bonemeal].

Stage 2:
Bring Doby Mick [32 Rotten Flesh] and [10 Bonemeal].

Doby Mick: Now that you proved yourself get ready to set sail.
Doby Mick: When you are ready talk with me again.

Stage 3:
When you are ready talk to Doby Mick

Doby Mick: Are you sure you are ready boy?
Doby Mick: This is your last chance before we set sail.
Right click on Doby Mick again.
Doby Mick: Alright then. Just wait by the cannons and don't fall off, but be ready to shoot when the whale shows its self.

Stage 4:
The boat is now in the middle of water with sailors on board and Doby Mick at the wheel.
Sailor [Lv. 40].

Then the scene changes and the whale is suddenly behind you about to eat the ship.
The whale's mouth is open and its mouth is easily the size of the boat + more. The actual mouth is mostly just red wool and a dark center where the throat is. The whale it's self looks like a normal whale because the corruption has yet to affect its outside appearance.

You then wake up in the whales stomach with the ruins of the ship around you.
The inside of the whale is all red (Different blocks if possible). The stomach area is littered with the wreck of this ship and many others. Surrounding the wrecks is lava. To get across the place you have to parkour across the different wrecked ships till you reach a large raised platform where the corruption is.

If you try to go back to the mouth of the whale this pops up [You should explore the rest of the area]

[You see a strange light coming from further down the whale]
Along the way there are slimeballs that is called [Stomach Acid] they mostly occupy the different ship wrecks. (Stats at bottom).

Stage 5:
You go further down the whale to see a corrupted looking area with a corrupted creature there.
The corrupted patch is purplish greenish clay sprawling on the raised platform. At the center is the "Boss" and around the edges are corrupted leaches.
Around the corrupted patch are [Corrupted leach]s.
In the middle is the "boss".
The fight is like saylor's brother where its just a bit stronger mob attacking you.
(Mob stats at the end)

Stage 6:
You can now go back to the whales mouth area. There you will see the uvula.
At this point you just attack the uvula which is pretty weak, after hurting/killing the uvula you wake up off the shore of the savannha area.
Go back to Nemract where you will find Baha there.
[Before stage 6]
Baha: I can't believe Cpt. Doby is going to try and go after the whale!
Baha: I would help him.... but I am too scared of the whale.

[After stage 5]
Baha: What happened to Doby?!
you tell Baha about the journey and the disappearance of Doby Mick.
Baha: I wish I had gone with Doby on his last voyage... But I was to much of a coward because of the whale.
Baha: At least you survived and helped the whale.
Baha: If you ever need a boat, I can let you get on me. Its the least I can do for helping the whale.
Baha: Oh yeah, here is your reward that Doby would of given you.
After You complete the quest:
Baha: Don't forget, if you ever need a boat, I can let you get on mine.

[Talking to Doby after stage 5]
Doby: When will you be ready?
Right click him and you can go back through the whale.
Rewards;
19900 Experience points.
640 Emeralds

Armor: Chain mail helmet and light blue leather chest, legs, and boots.

Location: In the middle of the corrupted area.
Drop: Nothing

Spell:
Damage: 170-230
What does it do:
A spiral of white surrounds "Whale Eater" and then a dark, corrupted looking, spear like projectile is shot at you.

[Uvula]
Level: 1
Block: Red wool (What ever the whale inside is made of)
Health: 1000
Damage: 0
Location: The whale mouth area.
Drop: Nothing

Tell me if I am missing any details or just things.
Also, this is subject to change if I think of better details.
Later, I may go through and add bad build examples.

Good quest, but could you give one of the mobs a spell? Just for variety.

 

Wynncraft will face copyright strikes xD, but I like the idea, Venture into the depths of the whale :O

The Idea is also great, when looking at lord of the clock Wynncraft should have no copyright-problems here.
Just one tiny little thing:
You might want to describe the "corrupted-whale" a bit more, so we all can imagine :3

 

If you want to not have Herman Melville family after Wynncraft, suggest changing Moby Dicks Name,(Nosy Nick maybe)

 

I like it, but In my opinion, the name 'Doby Mick' should be changed. Most names in Wynncraft are annagrams of builders of mods (Lusuco, Sarnfic etc.), but this is just two letters switched. Maybe rename him something like Livelelm, an annagram of Melville?

 

Aah, Doby Mick was a joke on my part! But nice job on the rest of the quest.

 

The name is there really to just be a Filler until I think of a much better name.

How would this cause a copyright strike? The only thing I guess you could say used from the book is the concept of going after a whale, and the name is going to change in the future.

I may go and try to build a makeshift model in minecraft and add more details to the actual quest about it.

 

Okay, I tried to go through and add some of the suggestions. (Still need to find a better name for the NPC and add more details).

 

"Lord of the Clock"
That's totally not Lord of the Rings, right?
RIGHT?

 

This Should Be a lvl 25-30 quest only becuse of the health of the mobs and the lack of challenge. :3

 

Pretty good!

However:
1. Try to give Doby some more feeling. He's a sea captain? Then add give him the feel of a pirate or even a tinge of Captain Ahab.
2. Some more NPCs. Just talking to 1 NPC over and over gets a bit monotonous.
3. Damage (And HP) is too low. HP doesn't really need much tweaking, but level 40 mobs should be doing around 40-50 damage. The boss is doing less damage than the first TOA mob.

Aside from those three things, this is nice! I like the idea and unlike Lord of the Clock, it's not a super-obvious parody. (Well, there's Doby Mick, but that's just enough similarity.) You have some pretty good potential.

2. Just because its not that challenging does not mean it should be a certain level.

4. I went through and Changed the damage to a lot higher and made the hp a little higher.

There are other good quest suggetions, look at Selvut's quests.

 

There was a Tom & Jerry episode which was a parody of Moby Dick. He was named Dicky Moe. lel
