This quest unlocks the door to Gavel

Min level: 40

Difficulty: Easy

If trying to enter before the quest:

The strong protection of the door prevents you from accessing it.

Talk to the Villager Guard

Before level 40:
[1/1] Villager Guard: You shall not pass this door! Come back when you are level 40!

After level 40:

[1/3] Villager Guard: Who dares enter Gavel?
[2/3] Villager Guard: Oh, I did not realise you are a warrior of Wynn!
[3/3] Villager Guard: If you want to gain access, please give me [40 Rotten Flesh], [4 Water Bottle] and [1 Bone Meal].

Obtain [40 Rotten Flesh], [4, Water Bottle] and [1 Bone Meal]

Before you obtain the items:

[1/1] Villager Guard: I am still waiting for the [40 Rotten Flesh], [4 Water Bottle] and [1 Bone Meal]!

After you obtain the items:

[1/2] Villager Guard: Have you retrieved the items yet?
[2/2] Villager Guard: Well done! You may enter Gavel now.

If you speak to the Villager Guard after you done the quest:

[1/1] Villager Guard: You can enter Gavel now. Come on, scurry along!

It's not that bad, but it certainly lacks some detail. What do you get from completing the quest, other than access to Gavel? Are there any special mobs for it?

A few other things, the dialogue could use some touching up, and it seems a bit short, considering it's a level 40 quest. Also, I think a quest to access Gavel would be rather inconvenient, don't you? I'm pretty sure you already have to do something to enter Gavel anyways.

You do realize that most boring quests usually have the same layout:

Help! I need you to get this [item] for me! I'll reward you if you do!

These kinds of quests lack detail and originality. Take the example of the WynnExcavation storyline. It is a very thought out, unique quest that is interesting to do. Try to make the quest more interesting is what I'm getting at here.

 

Not bad, not amazing, but why villager guard? name him something unqiue, like Gandalf i know theres already a character named like him, but YOU SHALL NOT PASS, plus so much traveling to gavel, too lazy to go back to stinking gavel for the quests.

 

So, you have to travel across the sea and back AGAIN to get into gavel? I'm not a fan of this.

 

You just forgot that there is the level 39 quest named "Pirate's Trove" which require you to go in Llevigar, which is obviously in Gavel, so to complete a certain quest, you would have to complete another quest with an higher level before ?!
Well that's seems fucked up.
And by the way any quest that require to farm mobs in order to complete it is just boring.

Exactly, why all the fuss even though Gavel was not out yet , so as Pirate's Trove? I know this kind of quest is extremely boring , but this was not made after Gavel's release, so he has a reason for having it to be lv.40 not 39
