Why in the world would you just stay in the lobby all day - this definitely wouldn't be worth the effort to add imo

Absolutely yes, this would be fun especially when servers are down.

When the servers are down, and you're waiting for them, you can play this quick minigame if you would like to.

I have a better idea
Play an actual minigame on an actual minigame server :0
And if you seriously can't go out of the server, then you have an unhealthy addiction that you should be getting a hold of immediately

What if you don't wanna search around for a server just to play tag once or twice with your friends?
Again, not an addiction, just convinience.

 

Ahmad is definetely right about the minigame.There is one thing like this in HC(HollandCraft) and it is played by everyone,but Ahmad's is(party it) a better idea.

 

You only need to search around for that server once, and then you're done - from now on you can just go on that server when you're bored. And that server most probably also has a few other minigames that can be enjoyable

And it definitely is an addiction if you feel like you have to wait in a lobby for 30 minutes.

 

A google search on ''Minecraft server with tag'' didn't bring up the server on the first page.
Also, still just convinience. Sitting and waiting for a server to come up? (which btw doesn't take 30 mins)
Play a bit of tag with some people without needing to search around for a server with tag to play for 10 mins and then go back.

It's not like people will get withdrawal symptoms if they don't wait in the lobby for 30 mins.
Also, it's called chatting.

 

This is a neat idea, in all honesty, i have been trying to think of something new for the lobby.
I will discuss this idea with some of the other mods, see what happens.

I mean what I said. I realize why the sentence is confusing but it definitely isn't a wrong way to say it.

Because if you're already enjoying it, then there's no reason for the developers to spend their time to make something like that. I mean if the server was down 24/7 then sure, add something to spend your time on. But if they're only down like once for 10 minutes every other day - then there's no real point.

My answer to the question is yes.
I like chatting with people, but I would rather play tag with them and have more fun.
What you're saying is the same as a youtuber saying ''Well you already enjoy my videos, why should I make them a higher quality?''

This also adds a good unique feature to the server, and also something new to the lobby.

 

I think the admins really just want players to go in game instead of staying in the lobby, that's why there is not much to do, just a parkour to entertain you in case you are waiting for a friend or something and some infos.
Tag is a well known mini game that everybody enjoys, so if there was something they wanted to add to the lobby, that could be it.

 

But, what if that person only gets 1 view each video?

What does this have to do with a good community? Unless you're talking about the chatting thing, but i've already went over that in case you didn't notice.
