Guilds Limited Amount Of Territories - 79 Supporters

    Many people - especially me - think that it's very unfair if one or two guilds own the entire province, so that's why I'm suggesting my idea.

    When a guild starts at level one, the maximum amount of territories that it's able to own at the same time should be around ten. Every time they get five more levels, they could own one more territory.

    The advantages:
    • Every guild gets the chance to earn some experience
    • The big guilds can still hold more territories than low level ones
    • This could probably prevent experience-glitches
    • The map looks colorful again
    • No flamewars
    I already suggested this in the old forums, but I still hope that you like my idea. If you are against it, please write a comment explaining your opinion.

    Im saying no because 2 reasons mainly. First they would have to take away some guilds land because there not high enough level which guilds would get mad about for example, if they are level 25 they have one more territory than allowed and the this idea comes into play and they lose tol and keep an area by ragin they will get very mad. Second big guilds would still rule the map, there would just be like five or seven instead of two.

    They could reset the entire map, so nobody would own anything. This prevents misunderstandings and there would be a new chance for every guild to get some areas.
    By the way, I prefer seven guilds ruling the map instead of one or two, but I don't think that this would happen. An alliance between so many guilds would split up.

    You suggest this, yet Validus owns a lot of territory too...

    No support. This would make guilds like Fuq and TNA and (maybe TNO pls nuuuuu why dooooge why u leeeaaavveeee) very mad, and have a lot of players quit. If guilds had just came out, this would be cool.

    By "old forums" I think he meant before 9/7.

    I would even go further and say the maximum amount of territories a guild can own should be 2 or 3. This way, big guilds will concentrate on the high level areas, so small, low-leveled guilds can finally claim some territories without worrying about big guilds claiming them back in seconds.
    Also, saying that people from those big and high level guilds will get mad is not an argument. They will have to deal with it then, just like any other guild. Guilds weren't implemented as contest to see who can claim the most territories and ruin the fun for small guilds, they were supposed to bring people together, which didn't work out at all. Now you claim a territory and get messages like “Dude, could you not claim it, that's ours“ or “ Forget it bro, you can't take over our territories, we are too strong!“
    (If I could, I would disable territories until something like a limit is introduced)

    Honestly, I've seen guild hating before. People have taken time to make their guild more powerful. They deserve to have territories sucky guilds can't take. If you're like being mad cause, 'oh, ur guild is lvl 1 and its no fair that i cant have a territory!' then it's too bad for you because you haven't worked hard to make your guild powerful. Definately [-1 supporter]

    To take this even farther I think that territories would reset How? The higher the level the more often it would reset maxing out at once every week. When it resets there would be a default Neutral army defending. This way when it resets smaller guilds can take over a territory for the week. For example my old guild could afford a good defense but could not attack due to not online players. This way some guilds can attack and defend which makes everyone have about the same level. (I know lots of people will hate this and yes it is not a well thought out idea, it is just something that came out of my head.)

    +1 At this point attacking isn't even fun. The only benefit for spending 5le for a guild is the chat and extra help sometimes.

    I have mixed feelings about this.

    I would like to have this because it would the majority of guilds a chance to make their mark on the province, and It wouldn't just be TNA, Fuq, and Val renting the entire map forever.

    I also do not like this because it destroys the concept of imperialism, where one power controls a massive amount of land, and the top guilds would no longer be able to do this. The players in these guilds will undoubtedly get really mad, but they have to deal with it.

    I'm leaning more towards limited territories because guilds overall are more important than the top guilds.

    +1 Great idea Ezura! It does get tiring and annoying that when you log on, all the territory you've worked hard to get has been taken over by other guilds. This would give many guilds the benefit of actually growing, and would actually make guilds fun for the aspect it was made for: Attacking. Best of all, as others have said, it will remove some of the hate.

    I think this could be taken even further by making 5 territories max and having cooldowns like if you took a territory it cant be attacked for the next 6 hours or so and if your guild took a territory it cant attack for the next 24 hours :3

    No. The big guilds worked hard for all this land. We shouldn't simply take it from them because other guilds are too weak to get their own. What is this? A communistic society?

    No, this suggestion is democratic - that's why I added a poll. Most people (even moderators) support this idea and there are only a few haters. By the way, the big guilds don't have to work hard, they just got more members which makes attacking easier.

    Limiting the # of territories a guild can own is definitely a way to improve guilds, though I feel like guilds should be improved with other features. For one, I think they should allow players in participate in battles to help attack/defend territories to add more combat into the mix instead of just grinding more and more mobs. By doing this, they should also allow for players nearby their territories (a.k.a 2-4 guilds territories or a few hundred blocks away) to know when their territories are being attacked. This would help players from constantly snatching territories back every second, and make guild wars more balanced and pvp-based instead of, "Who can buy the most mobs repeatedly?"

    I was saying it was communistic because this would be taking all the territories from the guilds who have worked hard for it, and just dividing it up between the guilds who are lazy and just complain about the issue instead of actively trying to take land and solve the problem.
