World Strange Item Tag (repost) [previously Had 95+ Supporters!]

    So, what are strange items, you might ask? Well, they will be items that you can only get from Gavel. They are almost as rare as a legendary. You may ask, "This is going to be some stupid OP item suggestion." It's not. Then the id's will be around the same as a unique item. And the damage/defense will be the same as a rare item. They will have an enchantment glow, but have no enchantment. They used to have a special lore saying "This item seems to glow...", but they are now common for the new item layout.
    Test Weapon:

    Now, in the center city of Gavel, there will be a NPC Called "Enchant Breaker" He will be a priest type villager. When you right click him with a non-special item, he will say this:
    Enchant Breaker:I'm sorry, but it seems I cannot find anything Strange about this item... I could do that with anything that has a strange tag on it, though.
    If you do have a Strange item in your hand while right clicking him, the identification menu will pop up, but It would have "To break the enchantment, add --- emeralds" replace "To identify, add --- emeralds."
    The amount of emeralds will be 1 1/3 of it's max damage.
    EX. Damage: 97-138
    You pay 184 Emeralds to break the enchantment.
    If you still don't understand, what you do is pay the max damage/defense to an "Enchant Breaker" in the center city of Gavel. You can only do this once on an item with the strange tag.
    After breaking a strange enchantment, if you try again, it will say this:
    Enchant Breaker: It seems that this Strange Item has its enchantment broken already! Sorry, but I can't break an enchantment that's not there.
    Once you have broken it's enchantment, you can get one of these 11:
    Weapons-
    • + Max Damage - Random amount between 1-7 - 10% chance
    • + Min Damage - Random amount between 1-7 - 10% chance
    • Fire Aspect III - 20% chance
    • Sharpness III - 10% chance
    • Knockback III - 20% chance
    • Luck of The Sea III - 30% chance
    Armor-
    • + Defense - Random amount between 1-7 - 15% chance
    • Blast Protection III - 25%
    • Feather Falling III - 30% chance
    • Thorns III - 20% chance
    • Depth Strider III - 10% chance
    This will be the only way to get Depth Strider, but will require full 1.8 compatibility.

    EDITS: changed NPC's name, added negative to weapons, added after breaking enchantment examples, changed rarity, added example for enchantment break cost, added a break-down for people who don't understand how to get the enchantment, added example for new item layout, changed stats, changed color.

    It's like Feather Falling on armor; no use. It acts as a possible debuff/no buff to the weapon, same with the Feather Falling on the armor.

    You should change luck of the sea to fortune becuase you were unfortunate enough to get fortune

    2 reasons:
    1. People might think that it actually does something, like give them more loot.
    2. Luck of the Sea sounds cool, and it (hopefully) won't confuse players as much as other useless enchantments.

    ah ok, its just luck of the sea sounds hilarious and kind of out of place on a stick or shovel, and when gavel is out a hammer or longbow

    Me to, I like the idea and I think it has potential. Although, I think that instead of increasing max damage with a random chance between 1 through 7, how about being able to have a reduction in min damage or max damage for example you pay some emeralds and your max damage is reduced by 3. If this were to be the case it would be something like -3 through 7 so that you cannot lose lots of damge.

    I actually quite like this idea. It kind of seems like gambling for a weapon, which will probably drain my emeralds faster than buying a Ghost cap for 1 liquid emerald.

    Cool idea! Although "strange item" seems a bit... uh... strange. Maybe "Mysterious Item" or "Unclassifiable Item".
