Guide ✴ Grinding Spot Analysis 2.0 ✴ #1: The Wolf Pit [ Levels 40 - 50]

Hello, fellow Wynncraftians! This is a series I started before, that went on a hiatus, and then eventually got completely erased by the forums wipe. I've gotten enough motivation to start working on this kind of stuff again. I hope you enjoy!

Here's the deal. Once a week, I will find a grinding spot to analyze and review. The grinding spot will be rated on these five factors:

Passivity - How hard do the mobs hit? ?/5

Spawnrate - How many mobs spawn there? Do they respawn quickly? ?/5

Convenience - How close is it from a town? Bank? An item buyer? ?/5

Uniqueness - What makes this area different? Increased xp gain? Loot chests? Rare items? ?/5

Location:

The wolf pit is a somewhat hidden spot southeast of Nesaak, by the Snow Mini-dungeon.



The coordinates are 180, 72, -710 for the entrance. From there, head down the passage...



...and into the bottom cave.


Passivity: 3/5

The wolves and the Wolf Tamer himself don't do much damage (half a heart to 2 per hit, using typical level 40-45 armor pieces). None of the enemies are ranged, which is a plus. Watch out though, as they can easily ball up into a pack and deal a lot of damage. To avoid this problem, just hop onto one of the icicle formations, two of which are accessible by any class (jump from the wall ledges to the icicle), and one that's higher up for extra convenience.



Spawnrate: 4.5/5

Spawnrates in this area is actually really good, despite it looking like it doesn't have a lot of mobs. Trust me, as soon as you kill a wolf, another one will spawn. The cramped space makes it easier, too, since any wolves who spawn will automatically start tracking you, allowing you to grind without having to move from your camping spot once!

Convenience: 2.5/5

Sure, it's near a town. That doesn't mean that town has all of the amenities. Nesaak has a bank for storing items you get from after the grind, but that's about it. There are no item buyers in Nesaak, so you'll have to go to Detlas or Troms to sell armor and weapon pieces you don't need.

Uniqueness: 5/5

Each mob in this grinding spot has its own unique name, and cannot be found anywhere else in the Wynncraft Province. Some examples include Luna, Blixen, Raul, Hunter, Moon Moon, and Alpha. There is a Tier 3 chest directly in the center of the room, which gives quite a bit of good rewards. It may just be me, but loot drops a lot more often here in the Wolf PitCitation Needed. Mobs give around 100 to 180 xp, numbers fluctuate because of the level difference in the mobs, ranging form 41 to 46. Not many people seem to know about this grinding spot either, as it is well hidden, so you can grind without the fear of someone intruding (hopefully).

Instead of "Uniqueness", it should be "Ect.". It should consist of other plusses, such as loot chests or mobs dropping good loot.

You should also add XP from each mob.

Btw, you said you don't need grinding at gavel because of quests.. Will you add some gavel spots, too or just write wynn spots?

 

If you really just need to do quest..I won't write a guide like the last one..I'd probably just write about grinding spots in gavel and wynn..

 

Uniqueness is basically the same as etc., and that's where I put things that I find interesting and/or notable in the area (plus, it sounds a lot more pleasing than "etc" :I). XP is... very random at times, so I just put a range of xp gain from the mobs.

 

This spot has got me leveled up a couple of times! Thank you so much :D

oh and btw, with a vey low loot bonus I got 3 legendaries there.

 

Can you do Skien's Island for one of these? It's a really good places for 50+, with at least 3 loot chests and many spawns all over it.
