Ragni | Russ’ House | Porch | Partly cloudy | 9:02 AM​

Cedric♂: Hey, where ya going?
Russ♂: I’ve been called for an investigation. Listen, watch out for yourself. (Exits house)
Cedric♂: (Thoughts) What exactly happened?

Ragni | Alley | Partly cloudy | 9:13 AM​

There is a crowd of people surrounding a covered-up body.​

Russ♂: (Walks in) Move aside and stand back. Soldier, what’s the current report of this?
Soldier♂: Uh, sir! The victim is named Ryia, an adult female, age 21, Archer. There have been eyewitness reports of her chasing a shady figure around this area.
Russ♂: (Takes a look at the body) Urgh. Soldier.
Soldier♂: Yes?

The face of the body has been burnt off.​

Russ♂: Round up some men and start questioning all fire users about this case, but be careful out there. (Covers back up)

Trina stops Russ as he’s walking out of the alley.​

Trina♀: You’ll find the murderer, won’t you?
Russ♂: I can’t give you an answer to that. Only time will tell if we find this guy. I’m sorry if she happened to be close to you. Things like this happen every day and just can’t be stopped.
Trina♀: (Sadly) I know, it’s happened before.

Cedric walks past Trina as she walks away.​

Cedric♂: Russ! What’s goin’ on here?
Russ♂: You didn’t need to see this, alright?
Cedric♂: I don’t need to see. I just want to know what’s going on.
Russ♂: (Sighs) Fine. Watch out for fire users. We suspect that the murderer used fire to kill the victim. You’re still just a kid. You don’t need to get involved in these things right now.
Cedric♂: Shut up with the kid talk. I’ve been through a lot already. I don’t need someone holding me back because of my age. I’m still a soldier and it’s my job to protect. So, it’s part of my job to find out who did this, so that no-one else will turn out like this. got it?
Russ♂: Fine. I get it now.
Cedric♂: There’s also one more thing I need to know. Has there been any chimera-related incidents around here?
Russ♂: Chimera? This town hasn’t even seen one of those.
Cedric♂: Got it. Thanks. (Walks away)
Russ♂: (Thoughts) Chimera?
Cedric♂: (Thoughts) Out there, someone must be feeling the same way I did.

Ragni Outskirts | Southern Trail | Cemetary | Partly cloudy | 12:48 PM​

Ryia’s parents and friends are gathered at the funeral.​

30 minutes later.

Trina is the last one to leave.​

Trina♀: I promise. I’ll find him. The same one with the scar. (Clenches fists)

Ragni | King’s Room | Partly cloudy | 10:22 AM​

The king is reading some reports.​

Jaquelyn♀: (Enters) Cedric is here to see you, sir.
Ragni’s King♂: Bring him in.
Cedric♂: Hey, King.
Ragni’s King♂: Why, hello. What brings you here?
Cedric♂: The recent murder case.
Ragni’s King♂: I recall sending Russ on the job. You're assisting him?
Cedric♂: Yeah. I didn't really know where to start, so I just thought that you might know something. The victim; her face was melted off using intense heat.
Ragni’s King♂: (Drops quill) What did you just say?

Ragni | Practice range | Sunny | 10:26 AM​

Soldiers are lined up with armor stands of pig meat on the opposing side.​

Russ♂: Is this all of them?
Soldier♂: Yes, sir. These men and women are all those are known to possess strong fire magic.
Russ♂: Alright! All of you are to set those stands of meat ablaze! Use all force that you have! And, don't think I can't see if you're holding back or not! 3. 2. 1. Fire!

The soldiers clap their hands and send a flame toward the stands.

The meat is ignited.​

Russ♂: It's none of our soldiers.
Soldier♂: What makes you say that?
Russ♂: The witnesses didn't hear clapping from the alley.

Ragni | King’s Room | Sunny | 10:28 AM​

Cedric♂: What's wrong?
Ragni’s King♂: (Trembling) Two years ago, a couple came back to their daughter from an excavation for a grey crystal. They told me to take care of her, their 15-year old child; as if they were about to die. Two weeks after they had told me that, they were found dead, with their faces melted off. The daughter witnessed the murder with her own eyes. She said that the killer saw her, but he left her alive.
Cedric♂: You’re saying that this might be the same person from two years ago?
Ragni’s King♂: It's possible. But, why? Why two years later?
Cedric♂: Is there anything else you have about the guy?
Ragni’s King♂: Trina, their daughter, have reported that this man is a Villager and has a scar through his left eye.
Cedric♂: Thanks for the info. (Leaves room)

Ragni | Northern Streets | Sunny | 11:00 AM​

Russ♂: (Walking) Damn. Guess I’ll go ask the king if he knows anything.

Russ and the Villager with the scar walk past each other.

Nivla Forest | Western Entrance | Sunny | 4:14 PM

The cultists have arrived in caravans carrying cages.
