There is a man standing near a bunch of wooden crates.​

Cedric♂: Are you Therck?
Therck♂: Can’t you see I’m busy?
Cedric♂: Does the name Enzan ring any bells? I was sent by him to see you.
Therck♂: Oh, my brother? Sorry, I didn't know. Why yes, I actually have something that could help you. What element do you use, soldier?
Cedric♂: I use Thunder.

Therck takes out a sack from one of the wooden crates.​

Therck♂: This Yellow Powder will enchant your weapons and armour with a powerful Thunder magic. (Hands to Cedric) To use it, take the powder and pour it onto your weapon. Then, you just use some magic and the powder will react and be absorbed into your weapon.
Cedric♂: (Does so with spear) Like this?
Therck♂: Yes, now hurry it up; I have business to do.

The powder sinks into the spear, giving it electrical properties.​

Cedric♂: Right, this should definitely help later.

The next day.​

Ragni | King’s Room | Partially cloudy | 12:45 PM​

The king is reading some documents and reports.​

Jacquelyn♀: (Enters room) There's someone here to see you.
Ragni’s King♂: Bring him in.
Russ♂: (Enters room) It's been awhile, King.

Russ | Age 27 | Human | Male | Short brown hair​

Ragni’s King♂: It sure has. How goes the investigation?
Russ♂: They're preparing to retrieve the final one.
Ragni’s King♂: And where is that?
Russ♂: Beneath Ragni, presumably the sewers.
Ragni’s King♂: Prepare to intercept them when they arrive. We can't have a cult with such malicious intent to open it. And one more thing; we have a new recruit, Cedric-who doesn’t have a real place to stay. I’m counting on you to watch over him while you’re here. You’ll know who he is when you see ‘em.
Russ♂: Yes, sir. (Exits room) What a pain. (Scratches head) Why do I have to babysit a rookie? Whatever, I just need to find the guy. (Exits castle and looks around) That must be him. (Walks up to) Are you Cedric?
Enzan♂: No, sorry. I’m Enzan
Russ♂: Oh, my apologies.

A day later.​

Ragni | Eastern Gate | Right Archer Bridge | Partially cloudy | 1:57 PM​

Ryia♀: (Groans) I’m bored.

Ryia | Age 21 | Human | Female | Short brown hair​

Trina♀: Then why did you sign up for this position?

Trina | Age 17 | Human | Female | Long tied black hair​

Ryia♀: I wanted to shoot some stuff.
Trina♀: Of course.
Ryia♀: Oh, look. It’s the rookie.

On the ground.​

Cedric♂: (Enters Ragni) Finally, I‘m back. That took longer than I thought it would.
Russ♂: You!
Cedric♂: Huh?
Russ♂: (Exhausted) Are you Cedric!
Cedric♂: Yeah, whaddya need me for?
Russ♂: Finally! I’ve been searching for you all over Ragni!
Cedric♂: But, I wasn’t even in Ragni for the past few days.
Russ♂: (Heartbroken) Wha-
Cedric♂: What was it you needed me for again? (Thoughts) Who is this nutjob?
Russ♂: Ahem. The king ordered me to watch over and give you a place to stay during my time in this city.

Ragni | Russ’ House | Sunny | 2:12 PM​

Russ♂: Well, haven’t been here in awhile.

The interior of the house seemed untouched for many months.​

Cedric♂: (Clears out cobwebs) How long have been gone from your home?
Russ♂: Just a few months. I’ve been doing my job around Detlas for the majority of the time. (Flicks light switch)
Cedric♂: Looks like the lights stopped working for a while. (Claps hands together)
Russ♂: No need for that. (Touches bulb)

The bulb lights up.​

Cedric♂: How’d you do that without clapping?
Russ♂: Boy, how’d you get your position without knowing this? When you clap your hands together, they create magic for you to use, right?
Cedric♂: Yeah.
Russ♂: Do you know why that happens?
Cedric♂: Nope.
Russ♂: Do you even know what Mana is?
Cedric♂: Nope.
Russ♂: (Sighs) Mana is an invisible energy source that flows throughout one’s body, similar to blood circulation. Now, about the use of magic. The clapping of hands creates a loop in which the Mana from the heart to both palms flow into one force, allowing one to control the magic generated by that Mana.
Cedric♂: But, how do you do it without clapping?
Russ♂: I can’t really explain it. It’s just a feeling you’ll get when you need it.
Cedric♂: (Disappointed) Oh, really?

Wynn Province | In a cave somewhere | Sunny | 2:20 PM​

Cultist♂: Leader, we’ve readied the canisters and distributed the potions. But, is this really necessary just to retrieve it?
Cult Leader♂: It is now. Ever since those traitors went rogue, they’ve turned many people against us into thinking that we were doing a sinful deed. They only care about control, which have turned them into monsters. I fear for this world, hence why we’re doing this.

Ragni | Outside Russ’ House | Sunny | 3:01 PM​

Cedric♂: I guess I’ll just patrol for a while.
