Media Wynncraft's Worst Feature And Greatest Scam "item Bombs"

Now you probably wondering why I'm saying that Item bombs are complete bullsh*t and its understandable
"Doesnt every1 love it when some person throws 50 bombs and gives you free items right?" Yes, everyone loves it.
"Than what's the problem here?" The price

An Item bomb (IT) gives the player 2 items that can be found in a T4 chest... Yes thats it, thats all it does. It's worse than going to a chest and opening it, it gives you way less stuff and is bad overall.

I have been through over 300 item bombs and I dont think I've gotten more than 20 legendaries. (also legendaries at lvl 100 are pretty useless)

Now you are saying "Well okay, but what it gives you must be good right" No, not at all.
You can get T1 powders and common drops from it, its terrible. The chance of getting a legendary is even worse since lq and lb don't affect item bombs but affect chests.

Now you're saying "Alright, but its very cheap right?" NO, thats my biggest problem, it costs as much as a combat exp or a prof exp bomb and that is outrageous. You literally only get 4 bombs for 5$. You spend 5$ and get 8 items which you can get from a chest, because 4 item bombs have the same worth as 1 DAMN CHEST if not less.

Just buy a Prof exp bomb, more people will be happy and you will get 50x more out of it than from an item bomb

This is crazy and needs to be fixed
(Also, with "buff IB" I mean so you get more for the worth of 5$)

Edit 1:
My 2 ideas for a buff
1st, increase the amount of item bombs you get from buying at 5$, 4 is nowhere near enough
2nd, make it so you cant get T1 and T2 powders and you cant get common item (brilliant diamond leggings for example)

this alone would make it far better

Edit 3: a common argument is that 4 bombs give 50 players 400 bombs and that changss the economy. Thats mot true, I if the average money you gt isn 5.5 eb per bomb (generous) than for 50 players its 36 le.

But 1 prof spd bomb can alone save people who craft lq items or are lvlling profs Stx of le and that is only for one person not 50.

Item bombs are the same kind of a waste of money as lottery tickets. The obvious difference is that you don't have a chance to earn real-life money here, though.

Besides, when people buy item bombs, the more woke ones aren't paying for the chance to get a valuable item. They are paying for the excitement that comes with the chance.

 

don't have proof for all but found 3 gaias and a grimtrap from them, can probably ask people in my guild for reference

but yeah their price is a bit high? but considering how busted ing bombs are it balances out lmao

But even still, the person who buys it wont get a mythic 99.999% of the time and it has better chances of getting them from chests

 

They're just a "community" thing and another way for wynn to stay afloat (although dungeon, prof xp, prof speed, and dxp bring in much more)

 

It's like opening a t4 loot chest, but without the effort of going a t4 loot chest and opening it. And, as mentioned, a large part of it is the thrill of maybe getting something, not the actual getting something. While the price is a bit high, I don't think they're a total scam.

 

Even if it is thrilling, they should definetly buff it, 4 bombs (worth 5$ irl) being worth 1 chest (which is free and takes a few seconds) is imo a scam. If you could buy 12 or 16 I wouldnt be complaining this much, but damn, you only get 4 bombs

 

I agree, although I think that if that were the case, there could be a lot of inflation from both mythics from item bomb parties and cash from selling random items, since the parties would get much bigger.

Why tho? Buying 4 bombs (worth 5$) is worth literally the same as a single chest. You hardly even get legendaries out of it, from 300 IB I was in, I havent gotten more than 20 legendaries (and most legendaries are pretty useless because of lootrunners)

 

You are completely ignoring the fact that these items go to the whole server. Also it is an OPTIONAL purchase, if you don't like them, don't buy them. As you said, if lootrunning is better than keep lootrunning. Also, as someone said earlier its for the hype, and purchases in general are to keep Wynncraft alive. I can see your point though. However, if they buffed item bombs I feel like wynn would become too much of a pay to win situation with item bombs.

 

I know it is for the server and I know it is for fun, but it feels more like a scam than an actualy thing. Even if its for the whole server, everyone gets the same reward, a 2 (usually) bad items. Of course there are times where you get a mythic, but the chance is so extremely low even if the 49 other people get the bombs and most of the people on ther wc probably aren't even high lvl enough to get a mythic. Alec is just lucky.
And wynn is already more or less pay to win with the other bombs like prof exp, combat exp, loot bombs and prof spd

 

well yea, it's my mistake for phrasing it badly, I meant that if you want to sell them on TM. Many people do lr and get lvl 100 legendaries, so selling it takes a very long time and I dont find it worth it

 

I mean
On a full server with 50 players, everyone gets 2 items per bomb.
So it’s not 5 dollars for 8 items. It’s 5 dollars for 400.
Sure, YOU don’t get the full benefits, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
It’s also free emeralds for everyone on the server because you don’t need to ID it.

 

Mind you there's also a decent chance to get 3 items as well, even 4 or 5 if you're really lucky too, so it's probably over 450 items

Yea, 400 but its devided by 50 players where around 25 of them are lvl <70
The money they get really doesnt change much, its around 3-6 eb per bomb. It doesnt affect the economy at all, not the individual players and not the economy

 

? If they all went to you or were buffed, that would be too p2w. Overall, they're incredibly worth it. It's not all about yourself. Also, some players may be lower level, but that doesn't really devalue the bomb. In fact, item bombs are generally even BETTER for earlier game people, as they may not have hardly any items/a lot of money.

 

Thing is that its far too low for what you get for 5$, and wynn is already p2w withprof spd, prof exp, combat exp, loot bomb giving you more benefits than item bombs. Even argueably ingred bombs (you might get expensive T3 ingreds)
