Lore/Story Wynncraft : The Journey (2)

I arrived at Ternaves, but before being able to talk to the quest NPC, a villager child pulled my coat.
I hunkered down, and asked what the problem was. "Eh, Sir... I am sorry for the inconvenience, but i do have to ask you a favour, Can you please follow me in my house? I rather not tell this in public. I'm so sorry to bother you, but please!" "Sure, young boy, Where's your house?" I asked. The boy replied that it was across the road. I followed him in the house, and i grabbed a stool. I thought : "Isn't it weird that this boy is inviting a stranger in house?" And as if the boy could read my mind, he said : "I usually don't trust strangers in my house, but its because of real danger. You know Nemract, right sir?" "Yes, yes i do." I replied. The kid said that there was a crypt near Nemract, where his father went to to explore. He said its been a week and he hasn't come back. Thinking about this, i thought the father is long dead of dehydration and starvation. I told the kid i'll go check it out, The kid showed me a map, and pointed at the crypt his father should be in. When i arrived, dark powers consumed me. I got light-headed, and i heard noises of the undead. When i entered, i noticed corruption. was it flowing through the roots of the earth? I got into a main room, and heard groans, suddenly i heard a raspy and deep voice : "Help! Please, help! They've chained me up and are torturing me till i tell how to open the gates to Gavel!" I ran straight through the big room, into the door across and saw a squad of zombies, seated while the leader was questioning the man, i presumed to be the kid's father. I shot the leader in the head, causing all the undead creatures to stand up and rush towards me. I shot a bomb arrow, taking down half of the squad. The rest hurt me, but once i drank a healing potion, i used arrow storm to finish them off. "Thank you, sir, please, unchain me." The man asked. I did that, and told him to follow me back to Ternaves. The kid was happy, which uplifted me to keep going, without a reward.

Now i finally got to talk to the guy i was ment to meet. "Eyo, traveller, me name's Torold, whats ya'r name?" He speaked in a weird accent. I asked with what he needed help with. It was something about a friend of his called Lekal, i accepted the quest, and went to The Angry Village. I searched every single house for Lekal's secret hiding spot, and finally found it. I got Lekal the potatoes and water, and now that i finally completed the quest, i could ask Lekal about the portal.
"Oi? You wish to know about the portal that appeared a long time ago? Yeah, i would've asked myself too if i didn't know anything about it aswell. I think you're probably up-to-date its the cause of this corruption. Agh, oh well, you see... One of my friends was one of the miners who dug too deep. He died a natural death later after he survived the portal's appearance. He told me that it wasn't his fault. But the leader's... Bob..." "Bob?" I asked. "Wasn't that the Hero of Wynn? You know, he shouldn't be mini--" "Yes, Thats the Bob i mean. Bob really was the Hero of Wynn, but once he got older, he had to consider a different job, and went to mine. He instantly got promoted to leader, because of his courage and preserverance(*). But he also got Greedy, and told the miners to mash that final rock the couldn't break. He told him to use all of the powers they could. Some of the miners instantly stood up and went to do it, those are referred to the greedy miners now. Then... When bob joined in to break it... It worked... A faint purple light, which later became really bright, formed a circle, later it became a weird hellish rock, and then was filled in by purple. It exploded, causing the whole mine to be able to be seen. thats how there's a huge pit where the portal lies now. And instantly started to corrupt the lands, Thats.. the story."

I replied that i was sorry for the loss, and was really thankful. This was an amazing story, through the eyes of one of the miners. Well, through Lekal's eyes, but his friend was one of the miners. I stepped outside, and went back to Detlas, to prepare for my next quest. but another adventurer came up to me. "Ey, fellow, Whats your name?" "Hayden... Eh, Hayden Hunter!" I said. "Nice, fellow, villagers have been crossing words about you. You've been really curious about Wynn's history. Please, lets sit down, i need to have a conversation with you about this." We sat down, and he instantly asked something. "Could i... Join you?"
"Huh?" I said because of confusion. "I'm not really so famous, stranger, i'm just... Hayden." "Thats not the reason, friend. The reason is that i'm also trying to uncover the secrets of Wynn. And, together, we stand stronger, don't we?" He said. "Oh?" "Yeah, i'm about the same level as you, and i'm a warrior, thats a melee + ranged combination. We'll stand strong." Before i could reply, some villager came to us and said to me : "Don't accept him just yet. His skill point set could be very weak, and he could walk into your way if he manages to die every single time." I asked the guy that wanted to join me to duel. He kindly replied that it was fine with him, and it started. I instantly used escape and got on a roof. Yes, i know this was cheap, but before i knew it, he threw the spear at me, i had to dodge, and fell off. I turned, and used arrow storm. He dodged half of it, but got hit by the others. "Oooh, thats a vital hit, isn't it, Warrior?" Said the villager. The warrior stood up, and charged at me, causing me a vital wound. We both started to bleed out. And then, all of the sudden, Poof. Blue sparkles came out of us, saying the duel was over. "Its a tie?" The villager said. "Is that even possible? Oh well. Doesn't matter, you're definitley joining me!"

We both grinded a bit, and leveled up, till we were high enough to be called worthy enough of beating the Zombie Dungeon Boss. We got word from someone about some WynnExcavation going on. A group of people, thats just like the greedy miners, but worse. They came from Gavel, and are trying to gain some ancient thing we don't know about. So, i went to WynnExcavation Site A. with my new friend. "Ey kids! Whatcha doing on our excavation site, go away you scumb-- ... Wait no.... Come over here, want some quick way to earn money?" Someone yelled at us once we got onto the Site. "My name's Vade. I'm one of the excavators. Can you go translate this stupid text? Just run down to Tesha, my lab assistant. I'd do it myself, but i am too important for grunt work." "Sure thing!" I replied happily, but i really thought : "Sheesh, what a moron. Nobody's more important then everyone else. No wonder these guys are evildoers. I better go do what he asked tho, at the moment they don't know i'm trying to stop them." We went to the lab after.

"Ey, my name's Tesha. Welcome to the labs. Why you here? You scums broke in didn't you?" A strange woman said once we came in. I replied : "Uh, well, yeah, technically its breaking in, but that doesn't matter, we're here because of Vade. About this Tablet?" I passed it to her, and after alot of "Hmm'ing" she got it translated.

We went back to Vade, and of course, heard his stupid "proud" voice again. "Oi, kiddos, got it translated? You did? Brilliant work, you morons! Now you can leave." My friend already was about to go, but i was eavesdropping and heard what was on the translated text. "Throw tribute an item to the wood that stands out, the right angle will open the way." It said. Me and my friend had a conversation. I asked him to go do that riddle, so we can maybe see the ancient thing they're after. He replied : "Are you sure? I know about Gavel, and companies from there won't go kind on us. They'll go so far to kill us." "I am 100% sure, just sneak past, they'll have no idea!" We went past the excavators with flying colours. The big tough ones were easy to get through, they were stupid, the thin smart ones were harder. But we reached the riddle room. Once we did that, there was another puzzle behind it. It only gave us a slight hint saying : "Written in the sands of time, four diary entries hold the key." Alright, we were confused by this, but managed it after anyways. Well, my friend did. He got it through some clever thinking. He thought like this : "Sands of time... Sands, well, thats this temple, and time could mean history. A man's history... Diaries! Search diary entries!" Soon after, we found them all, he picked out the numbers found in the entries and inserted them. The code was correct! Soon we traversed the tomb and found a large crystal. "Is this the ancient thing?" I asked. But soon i noticed my friend to be attacked by some Mummy, a pharaoh. "Agh, help, Hayden!" I used bomb arrow and lured him to me. "I'll hit him from behind now, Hayden, give me a second!" And he charged to him, causing a vital hit. I used bomb arrow to finish it off. He dropped a crystal which I showed to my friend. "Is this the thing?" "I guess" he replied. It wasn't too useful, we thought. I said maybe more things will clear up once we go explore the other sites. So we went out, just to be attacked by Vade. "Oi, you didn't mess with our business, did you? You came out of the temple! You better have not touched some property! I swear the boss would kill me! I'm not kidding, he would do that! You should not mess with WynnExcavati--" We ran off before he could finish. And looked over the horizon. "Eh, friend?" I said. "Whats your name? I forgot to ask back in Detlas." "Oh, sorry, i'm Rowan." He replied. The sun went down, and we knew alot of stuff will happen, soon. (End of Chapter)

Each chapter will have one of my own roleplaying adventures, one of the main lore quests, and one of the excavation things.
