Wynncraft The Game!

Hello wonderful world of Wynncraft,
My name is HarryIsBeast and I am the lead developer and CEO of BeastlyGames©, back in 2014 we started making an RPG game that eventually lead to our ultimate demise due to a lacking in funds but even though our team has died off I want to take on the task of creating the very wanted, Wynncraft game. Of course we currently have no connection with official Wynncraft so, with your help, we can get the attention of the Wynncraft team so we can partner up and make this a much greater project. Now I am sure there are allot of questions so I will be sure to update the thread to make sure you guys understand everything fully. Also feel free to ask me anything in-game. I am only 14 years old but I have been scripting since I was 10. Starting with HTML I slowly moved up to developing small fun games for my friends and I to play around in using the Unity3D engine.

Now of course it's not easy to make a game alone so I figured the best way to do it would be recruit the community! Yep! Instead of getting other developers from all over why not get the community to help out? Now I think my friend and I can do most of the scripting work in the game but what we do need is mappers and a new graphics design team so anyone with some talent in the world of art and/or 3D model creation will be very much needed as, well, me and my friend can really only make a nice looking potato.... maybe?

Easy enough for the beginner and powerful enough for the expert; Unity should interest anybody who wants to easily create 3D games and applications for mobile, desktop, the web, and consoles. Understanding map creation

Now, to be honest, map creation in the Unity3D engine is not all that difficult. Since we can scrap some assets from our old game you can easily use them to create a new world, just think of it as a bit more difficult Minecraft. There are TONS of Unity3D tutorials out there to help you get started. ALSO we are very willing to teach anyone interested in how to make some prefabs for the game. We plan to have applications out soon so please stick by for that if you are interested.

Becoming an artist/modeler

Now we aren't providing much about this section because if you want to become either an artist or a modeler you should already know what you are doing and allot about it, however we do not have our applications set up yet so please stick tight if you would like to apply. Also, we are going to teach you how you can apply your skills into Unity if you get accepted.

Now we have no immediate plans to recruit developers but when the rest of the applications come out this one will as well. If you do want to become a developer just familiarize yourself with Unity.

Spoiler: What about the already existing Wynncraft team?

Well, I would be perfectly okay if any of them wanted to help out. They can do whatever they want, if they choose to help out with my team they will likely be automatically accepted upon applying.

Spoiler: What control will the Wynncraft owners have over the project?

Honestly, I don't know. I would be okay with letting them control everything provided I can recruit the team.

Spoiler: How do I apply for a part in the team?

As I said above, applications aren't out yet.

It could take up to a year of development just for our Beta release.

Spoiler: When will we be able to play?

I will allow certain people to test the Alpha project outside the development team. Who these people are will be decided later. (Likely donors)

Obviously this is a sensitive topic but I do plan to have some micro-transactions (without making it very p2w) BUT I don't have any plans to keep any of the proceeds, I would be willing to give it all to the original creators outside of paying for the server.

Donating is a feature we want to add down the road, likely to get Alpha testing access.

The game has been chosen, after a long debate, to be Voxel. Thank you to those who voted!

Of course it will! There will be buyable perks like VIP and VIP+ but to get the game there will be no cost.

Spoiler: What will Alpha tester get?

If you become an Alpha tester we will be sure to give you some cool things in the released version of the game when it's out such as the Alpha tag in chat, maybe a cool unique cape, etc.

i think wynncraft needs his own game,and if you do one,remember to give the credits to Salted,Grian and Jumla :P about things to provide...


weapon models...i may can draw some,the problem is i dont know how to paste them to the computer :/

why make a game when wynncraft is already like a game

 

I honestly think its a good idea, but make sure its balanced and as such. Creating Wynncraft: The Game should also add animations and such, but not super hyper-realistic if you know what I mean. This seems like an interesting concept though, a game made from a game. Heck if Notch did that (and Jeb still continues it) go for it!

 

I actually already have given them credit in what I have created so far. :)

Some people don't want to play Wynncraft just because it's in Minecraft. It might sound silly but this would help the game expand allot more to a new community and group of people.

 

Will it be free to play?

 

would the whole wynncraft world be transfered and player classes or would it be like wynncraft 2.0

It would be hilarious, yet intriguing if this takes it as far as stealth kills, critical bow shots, etc. Basically, if this gets as many mechanics as Skyrim, im in this for sure!

 

this guy is practically just gonna copy most of wynncrafts ideas and throw them into his game
and for the game to be even half as good as wynncraft it will take many years
