Lore/Story Wynncraft Novel #2 Chapter 1

ACCEPTED​

We come out of the cavern through the castle's West entrance. The King calls me over with Jamie and Josh, “You three have proved yourselves, I think it is time I recruit you as a warriors of Wynn. You each know your strengths, and I will teach you them tomorrow. For now go and welcome the army back.” We nod in response and head towards the East exit.


I stand at the gate with my 22 comrades and wait patiently, until we see around 300 people trotting on horseback up the emerald trail, I realise that Cecil will be with them. I push my way to the front of the crowd. The army stands in line opposite the East gate. Cecil isn’t there. He saved my life, then went off to fight. I couldn’t save his. “Hey Dan, what’s wrong?” Josh asks.
“Honestly don’t worry, just my friend isn’t there.” I mumble.
“Dan, meet at the bakers, me and Jamie will get you cake. Then you can get it off your chest.”


I sit there, staring at my cake. “Are you going to eat that?” Jamie asks.
“I will, just let me speak first.” I reply. Then I begin, from the start, how I was cornered by zombies, and then taken away for them to eat later. Then how Cecil broke me out, and helped me kill off the guards. Then he left to fight and never came back. Josh nodded, “Dan, I’ve got an idea.”


I kick back my chair. “So you’re saying that we are going to sail across the ocean, to a Province which thinks humans are pieces of cow poo, to find some crazy priest, who could be a hoax? You’re out of your mind!”
“I know it sounds crazy, but he could know how to find him.” Insisted Josh.
“Josh, I must admit it is a bit out of our league, we have only been training for a week.” Says Jamie. I nod in agreement.
“Dan, Cecil saved you, now you’re not up to saving him? Isn’t that what is annoying you at the moment?” Continued Josh. I close my eyes, screw them shut. What am I about to do? I ask myself, but then at the end of the day, Cecil deserves it.
