Hi guys! I want to ask how does Wynncraft know which background music to play? Is there a collision that checks if the player enters a certain area? Or does the server calculate the current position of the player in a certain area?

I wanted to know the specifics because I aim to create a mod that plays wynncraft music without relying on the note blocks that the server plays. It's just a sideline project of mine since I got nothing to do.

  2. i can't answer your question about wynncraft, but wynntils has this feature - you can look into its implementation here if you're curious

I think those are either areas or triggered by a mob spawning (like bosses)

I've read through the GM guide and it mentions ''regions'' as something you can add into the game. I'm assuming all they do is assign music tracks to certain regions and that's how they do it. The GM guide seems very outdated though so they might have changed how they do this.
