    Hello everyone! Wynncraft is looking for talented Pixel Artists and Modelers to help improve our Resource Pack!

    We are planning to eventually drop support for old Minecraft versions (including 1.12) and start using modern tools from the higher versions more and more to improve the overall Wynncraft aesthetic. Particularly for custom GUIs and mobs models.

    We're looking for someone with:
    • Experience working with Resource Packs
    • Knowledge of the latest technologies in Resource Pack making (fonts, shaders, etc)
    • Experience designing GUIs (for Pixel Artists) or…
    • Experience designing 3d mobs and items (weapons, armours, hats) and using 3d modeling programs such as Blockbench (for Modelers)
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to the game’s aesthetic
    • Basic knowledge of Wynncraft itself
    • Self-driven, able to work remotely and full of ideas on how to improve Wynncraft
    • At least 18+ years old

    and you're yet to give us an option to use the old chat gui
    i get that pretty much everyone in the team is convinced it's better but an option would still be something many would appreciate

    i'm not asking for it to be better (as good as it'd be), i'm asking for an option to use the old gui. that's two different things
    if the new gui is worked on maybe it'd actually outdo the old in my eyes, but the legacy look option is something that 1.12 already does

    I think it's a question of consistency. If everything is eventually modern, there'd be no point in maintaining something that just sticks out as outdated.

    guis and such could be brought to legacy through resourcepacks. if chat got a legacy option it would be able to fit alongside the rest
    edit: not to mention the modern look doesn't sit well with everyone, as showed the initial outburst about the new "modernized" chat. turning things "modern" without people's agreement and/or feedback without the option to choose seems like turning backs to the community
