Hi Hi!

Ever felt like Wynncraft's weapons are missing their lustre? Do they require more uniqueness, be better adapted to their lore? Presenting:

Mods Required​

Unfortunately, CIT (Custom Item Textures, which is the backbone which this pack relies on) is not available for Vanilla Minecraft, so you must use a mod loader to enable this pack.

If you run Fabric or Quilt, you should use CIT Resewn (https://modrinth.com/mod/cit-resewn). If you use Forge or prefer not to use more than one mod, head over to Optifine (https://optifine.net/home) . When using Fabric, Quilt or Forge just drop CIT Resewn or Optifine into your mods folder. If you just want Optifine and nothing else, just run the Optifine .jar and it should install an Optifine version of Minecraft directly into the Minecraft launcher. For Optifine, make sure Custom Item Textures in Options/Video Settings is enabled. It is imperative that you use the correct pack respective to the mod you are using, or else the pack will not work.

The pack is designed to work on Minecraft versions 1.21 and beyond.

I’d be interested to see what you come up with for the uth weapons

 

A while back I made a google doc with notes on what I'll do for each weapon. Here are my notes, based off the item lore, which seem to be mostly destruction based for the Uth set of weapons. I interpretted it as being imperial, but ruined.

Uth Set - very Imperial, silver and muted elemental. Accents of vibrant elemental colour. Ruined but still feels imperial.

• Alka Cometflinger - crossbow
• Thrunda Ripsaw - claw
• Nepta Floodbringer - stave
• Inferna Flamewreath - cross with feathers
• Zephra Shredder - scythe twinblade

for this too, while making my pack I figured out that you can rename crafted items to the name of the item you want to see the model of, hope that helps!
additionally I think you can also look in the wynntils item guide to see if the model is applied to the weapon.

What version is this pack for? The format version in pack.mcmeta is invalid (according to the MC wiki) and it's not working for me on 1.18, 1.19, or 1.20.

Thats strange. I use fabric 1.19.3 with cit resewn, and the pack uses cit files that should be compatible with both optifine and cit resewn. It should also work with all modern versions, but I have not tested it.

Some Notes:
Woo, that was a long list. Surprisingly, most of it was done over a bank holiday when I found some unexpected motivation for the pack.
- The pack version is updated to 16, which is the format for 1.20. This should not break the pack if you use other versions.
- You may have noticed the 2 Mythics that snuck into the pack. This was not by accident. These are the Mythics I have now obtained, and I wanted models for them because the default models are kind of underwhelming. Don't expect all Mythics to be given their own skin, unless I somehow miraculously obtain all of the mythics. If it bothers you, you can unzip the pack and remove the mythics' models and .PROPERTIES file. Alternatively, you can order your favoured Mythics pack over the Fables & Legends pack.
- Some Rare weapons also snuck on. These are mainly offhand weapons, or weapons that I find cool and/or useful enough to be of inclusion in the pack. I plan on adding items like Silent Ballet and maybe The Traveller later.
- In addition to the two aforementioned, I also plan to finish up the Eldritch Outlook dungeon weapons, and work down the levels. The next update will likely have all Fabled weapons completed.

Spoiler: Ysengrim Woes And Beyond

So I had zero clue what to do for this. The closest reference I could find was Ysengrimus from the allegorical tales 'Reynard the Fox', where Ysengrimus was Reynard's uncle and main antagonist, so I decided to make the Ysengrim weapon a bloody wolf paw. I usually research the weapon name before modelling, such as for Salpinx. I would have just redone the default golden relik for Salpinx's model, until I found out that it was a Roman Trumpet. One other example is Manna, which was a biblical food given to the Jews by God. I would have done a bowl of tree sap (which is the closest modern real-life equivalent to Manna), but this does not fit the theme of a dagger. It fits a relik more, so, to avoid confusion, I just made Manna a golden gauntlet. I also had a model for Cryoseism which was very similar to its rendition in Fey's 'Wynnic Uniques Compendium' texture pack, but I decided to scrap that model due to the results of the recent Item Lore Contest.

There's an update coming very soon, a bit larger than the previous one. As of now, all of the Fabled weapons are complete, excluding any added in 2.0.4 (I think there's a new relik called Tremorcaller but I'm not sure if there are any more). Stay tuned, also enjoy this Cluster coming in update 1.3.

I love your texturing style. I'm a big sucker for minimal color high contrast pixel art like that. Calamity mod weapon type of texturing.

 

This pack looks really cool, but I'm having issues with it. I downloaded it and the wynnpack for reordering, but it still isn't working, (F3+T too.) Am I doing something totally wrong?
Does this pack need a mod or something?
