On this thread I will post weekly competitions in multiple categories! This thread is a fun way to find people's talents involving Wynncraft subjects!

To submit a piece please private message me with the following format:

Nice! Could join a couple of these. Would do art but not really a landscape type of guy, and I am working on a Cmd block creation right now on top of stuff IRL and Wynncraft

 

i wish it was about the final battle of a civilization...
i just prepared a big map while i was bored for it...
with armor stands representating the moment and everything...

 

If you are referring to your old stories, then sure. I suggest editing them and making sure they meet all requirements! (Sorry for the repost)

This sounds interesting; I might enter it. I just have two questions (and maybe more later):

1) What are the prizes for the event? Will we receive in game items, store purchases, or will be just be featured on this thread?

2) In regards to the item skin part of the competition, do we have to use a 3D model of the weapons? If so, is there a way to edit the textures using free software (so all players can try and make one)? Also, do we have to use the model of the weapon in the Wynnpack?

I hope this project/event turns out great. This might be a good way to bring together the community of the forums...

 

1) Currently this event is a feature only. People should not reserve their talents only for money in my opinion.
2) @SoloSnuggles is the new judge for Art and Item skins is probably in her territory. I'll ask her for advise on this topic.

 

I'm not too familiar on 3D modeling, but I did some research and looked through

(I searched through every page because I'm determined)
Some programs that were suggested were
Cubik Studio (Which isn't free, i'm not sure if there's a lite version correct me if I'm wrong)
MrCrayfish's Model Creator (I'm pretty sure this is free)
I might've skipped over a few more, I recommend going through the comments there because i'm a noob :/
or maybe someone can suggest others

 

I wish there was a way I could just edit the textures already in the texture pack using Paint or something similar. I know you can do that with Minecraft mobs and armor, but I'm not sure about the models used in the Wynnpack.

I'll look into it, but considering I have no knowledge in 3D modeling for Minecraft it might take a while to create quality work with the editors.
