Media Wynn News S3 #1 Kidnap Victim Saved, New Corrupted Dungeons

Hello Wynncraftians!

Welcome to Wynn News! Before we start I'd like to say a couple of things. We're back with season three, however Wynn News won't be as active as it was during the summer due to school, extracurriculars, etc... so bear with me :) Today we're going over the recent completion of a very unique community event/giveaway and also the new Corrupted Dungeon being released.

On September 20th, 2016, @Jamieverse created a giveaway/community event in which he was "kidnapped" by a cyborg and being held ransom. The event put a new twist on creative giveaways which some believe could impact future giveaways within the community. The prize of the event was 32LE, which was won by @PillowPet ;) on September 22nd, 2016 at 9:00pm EST. The majority of the money for the event was supplied by moderator and community manager, @Pretzule. "He wanted to make the event official but I decided that it wouldn't be the best choice to give out VIP for it, so I offered him some LE instead so that it can gather some more attention and help out", Pretzule tells me. What inspired you to create a community event/giveaway such as this one?




I've always wanted to create an event. I have had so many ideas on things to do, but this one seemed to show a spark of interest in the community. I loved how the players got together and had lots of fun. I know this sounds cheesy, but I feel like this was a great way for the community to bond with each other!




Was there anyone else involved in the event that you'd like to mention?




Everyone helped! All these players decided to spend their time to help decipher/translate the puzzles I made! BUT, Pretzule and Selvut helped, with Selvut creating dialogical tension between "CyberProd" and himself. Pretzule supplied us generously with 32 LE as grand prize!




Are you planning on creating more events/giveaways such as these in the future? If so, how do you plan to make them different then the one you have already created?




Yes! I really enjoy making these! Though there will be plenty of other themed events, I'm sure that Cyberprod will [ERROR] come back in another exciting adventure!

Recently, the Corrupted Infested Pit key has been announced by Salted and will be added to the game in 2-3 hours. While the Corrupted Decrepit Sewers presented a post-apocalyptic Wynn, with a clear view of the citadel of Ragni in ruins, this new dungeon is speculated to add on that by adding more, post-corruption settings. Some even say the areas could have ties with the Time Door and maybe even the main storyline. While some players are interested in the new features of the corrupted dungeon, others are more interested in the items. "Must. Check. Rewards.", @Net_Twerk comments on the thread. The new key guardian can be found in the Light Forest area and still requires Nii Runes to craft it into a usable key. It's a bit short, but that's all we have time for today. It's good to be back, and I hope I can make more of these in the future on a more consistent basis. As always...
